@davidstoker_lfc@Ryaaann92 We had the ball in Brazils half for a grand total of 47 seconds in the first half.
What are the attackers meant to do with that?

CLUB STATEMENT
Grassroots Football Under Threat โ Local Pitch Prices Now Completely Unsustainable
Plains Amateur Football Club is speaking out on behalf of ourselves and the wider grassroots football community in North Lanarkshire.
We are deeply concerned โ and frankly outraged โ by the latest astronomical price hikes for hiring local council-run 11-a-side astroturf pitches during so-called "peak times" (Monday to Thursday evenings). The cost for a two-hour slot now stands at a staggering ยฃ280.
๐ Add in our ยฃ360 monthly direct debit for training lets, and teams like ours are now facing monthly pitch hire costs of ยฃ800โยฃ1000. Thatโs before you even factor in referees, league fees, kits, transport, and all the unseen volunteer work that keeps clubs running.
This is simply not sustainable for any grassroots football team โ especially not those based in working-class communities like ours.
โ ๏ธ Decisions Made by Those Detached From Reality
These pricing decisions are being made by directors and senior officials who have no connection to grassroots sport, no engagement with local clubs, and absolutely no understanding of the financial pressures facing community-run teams.
Once again, weโre seeing people on large public salaries โ completely alien to working-class life โ impose policies that will cripple community sport.
This is not just bad governance โ it's sheer greed. They expect premium payments for facilities that, in many cases, are poorly maintained, outdated, and neglected.
๐ด A Pattern of Disrespect Toward Working-Class Sport
Letโs call it what it is: another example of the working class being priced out of spaces we built, sustained, and gave meaning to.
Grassroots football isnโt just a game. Itโs a lifeline โ for young people, for mental health, for social bonds, for building strong communities. These decisions risk destroying that, all in the name of squeezing a few extra pounds from the very people they should be supporting.
๐ค Time to Stand Together
Weโre not staying silent and we donโt expect other clubs to either.
๐ฌ We invite and encourage any local teams, coaches, committee members, or supporters who share our concerns to get in touch and stand with us. The more united our voice, the harder it is for those in power to ignore.

Today, we pause to remember and honour our former players who made the ultimate sacrifice 109 years ago at the ๐๐๐ญ๐ญ๐ฅ๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐.
Their bravery and legacy will forever live on in the heart of this football club.
"Their dear young lives are over.
Their eyes no longer see.
The beautiful game at Windsor Park.
Crowds cheering in their glee.
They proudly served their country.
Their duty nobly done.
From now until eternity
They'll be forever young."

Saturday marks 21 years since Kriss Donald, an innocent 15 years old boy, was kidnapped and horrifically murdered in Glasgow, by pure evil and racist cowards
Please never ever forget this innocent young boy โค
