@Dr_Jenny_Root I think yes! It makes a difference for publication and quality indicator review. If you need to deviate, you need to explain why. But... I could definitely be wrong. #SCRDChat
@Dr_Jenny_Root One of the features of SCRD I think is most valuable is the flexibility. If the study needs to be adjusted to protect participants, SCRD allows ways to make changes without losing experimental control. #SCRDChat
@williamsalicen @Dr_Jenny_Root Yes! If you describe your methods and are transparent your study could be replicated. But, then the question becomes would anyone want to replicate something you had to "salvage"? #SCRDChat
@Dr_Jenny_Root @SalUWF I think this is key, your purpose. Dr. Root said "stage of intervention development". That purpose of research (in this case, developing an intervention) is also an important consideration, just like the RQ

@DeidreGilley A2: I think it was revolutionary because they were fully included, there was not an option to be an "other" - everyone was treated the same. I also imagine it was freeing to be with people who have similar struggles. #TransitionTalk
@DeidreGilley A1. Media often shows people with disabilities as objects of pity or people to persecute. Think of Lt. Dan in Forest Gump. When he has a physical disability the script encourages you to fear him or feel sad for him. When he is able bodied he is a respected leader.
@Dr_Jenny_Root @CaseyZiegler3 @DeidreGilley This is a thing! It is part of the McKinney Vento Act, students can remain at their "home" school and transportation must be provided. There is a time limit though.😠
@DeidreGilley Q4 I think this is related to generational poverty and the complex mental health concerns many people experiencing homelessness face. If my home was destroyed by fire, I have the privilege of financial and friendship support. Youth and adults experiencing homelessness do not.
@DeidreGilley A3: Many communities use a combination of private supports (churches) and government programs. The generational element of homeless is also a difficult barrier.
