Going to be doing something I haven't done for a while. One of my little reviews.
I didn't know what to think of this as I started to read it but the more I read I thought it was quite a nice little story. But it does keep shifting from character to character quickly.
If anyone has any out of date plasters or bandages would you like to donate them to Addlestone train station? They are doing a collection to give them to the Surrey Stands With Ukraine appeal. Any donations to be dropped off next week.Ticket office is open 06:30-10:00 Mon to Fri.
For those who are interested, I have now been sent a list for what items to add to the shoe box. I think the closing date will be the end of next week(still trying to find out).
Last was the first time we did this at Addlestone and doing it again this this year. Even though it says Ascot station it will be here. Not sure on closing date but will find out.
Taken a little while to get it but I now have the total that was raised when we hosted the coffee morning back in September. Thank you to everyone who donated. With a further £55 donated via their website.
Cakes being made, cookies made and some other little bits bought. Tea and coffee at the ready. #MacmillanCoffeeMorning tomorrow 07:00-10:00 in the booking hall.
Been a while since I've posted but this time it's something different. If your using the train next Tuesday or just passing by why not pop in for a drink and cake or biscuit. All for a good cause.
If anyone uses a refillable cup then bring it along to.
Haven't done any of my little reviews for a while.
First book I've read by Graham Norton and was really impressed. I like how each chapter went from past to present, the story behind the characters and a really nice ending.
Everything sorted out and on display. The tall bookcase I got from a neighbour and few books as well.
Had some lovely donations from people in Addlestone who have moved or wanted a new home for their books.
Thank you to those who have donated 🙂🙂🙂
One important thing I forgot to mention is along with a name and contact number please put down the child's age as well. Thank you and look forward to seeing all the pictures.
Calling children aged 5-10..... In partnership with your local Co-op Addlestone and New Haw we would love the kids to draw their favourite character from a book which will be displayed inside the booking hall/waiting room at the station.
Closing date Friday 16th July.
Office will be open 6:30-10:00 Mon to Fri and 09:30-12:30 Sat for entries to be dropped off. Please leave a name and number so winners can be contacted.

Hello all. I've not forgotten about all of this. Just need to do the last bit of cleaning of the old waiting room, sort of the competition and will be good to open.

It would mean relying on book donations & I know there are a few charity shops these days who don't want books anymore so it would mean a new home for them. Please retweet if you are in the Addlestone area so I can get an idea of who would be interested. Thank you in advance.
