@Scott_Geelan has been a good friend of Ghana football for many years. His work on areas often overlooked by the local media has added real value to the game.
I still remember his 2021 GPL report, which ranked Fabio Gama as the league’s most popular player. That report became a useful reference point in our commercial engagements during our time at Asante Kotoko.
While some may have disagreed with his position on Asare, Scott was always measured, respectful, and careful not to insult or demean anyone.
I hope this isn’t the end of his involvement with Ghana football. We still need independent voices willing to spotlight the issues that matter.
When England are on the wrong end of a bad decision later in the World Cup, we should be humble enough to remember how Ghana were robbed from winning the group by VAR going to sleep for a clear penalty for the Konsa foul and a red card for Bellingham covering his mouth.
Just seen this on TikTok. Wow. Jerome Opoku saying he’d make it one day while wearing a United shirt with Eric Bailly on the back as a kid.
Fast forward to today and he’s representing Ghana at the World Cup, helping keep two clean sheets in two games. Dreams really do come true.
A witch doctor from Ghana who “cursed” Harry Kane claims to have “released” England’s captain from the hex following the countries’ World Cup stalemate.
“I am the most powerful spiritualist in the whole world. Now, I am going to release Harry Kane so that, his next match, he can score.”

💣🚨 BREAKING: Paraguay 🇵🇾 Files an Official Complaint to FIFA Over Inconsistencies.
Paraguay Football Federation files official complaint to FIFA over alleged inconsistent application of the new mouth-covering rule at the 2026 World Cup.
In a strongly worded letter, Paraguay officials cited the England vs Ghana Group L match, pointing out multiple instances most notably involving Jude Bellingham where England players appeared to cover their mouths during heated confrontations with Ghana opponents, yet no red cards were issued.
This comes just days after Paraguay’s own Miguel Almirón became the first player in World Cup history to receive a straight red for the exact same offence against Türkiye (refereed by Iván Barton).

FIFA has confirmed receipt of the complaint and says it will review the incidents. More to follow…
What do you think fair complaint or sour grapes? 👀
Ghanaian spiritualist Nana Kwaku Bonsam says his job is done and has now released England captain Harry Kane to start scoring from their next game at the World Cup. 👀🇬🇭
After claiming he “spiritually shackled” Harry Kane to stop him scoring against Ghana, he now says he has released the England captain.
“I am the most powerful spiritualist in the world. I am now going to release Harry Kane so that he can score in England’s next match.”
Was Kane stopped by Ghana’s defence… or Bonsam’s powers? 😭
Ghanaian fans spotted a Nigerian rocking a Super Eagles jersey after the match and turned him into the center of attention, singing “Come and See What the Lord Has Done” as they carried him through the streets.😭🙆♂️💔
Frustrating game for England last night. I said to my Dad just before kick-off that it had 0-0 written all over it, so wasn't that surprised by how it panned out.
Ghana were well disciplined, England lacked the quality to break them down. Could (should) have won it at the end, but no idea how Konsa's challenge wasn't given as a penalty. It was clear as day. Very lucky.
🗣️ "I'm not sure if VAR is still working at World Cup."
Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz believes his side should have had a penalty in draw against England.
