@KIN110UofR The IOC have come to a decision to ban Russian athletes from the next Olympic Games because of the war they launched against Ukraine in 2022. Do we agree with this decision to punish athletes for a government choice?

@MackenzieMagel @KIN110UofR This message is not okay. Girls are being taught at a young age that they're voice is unwanted and will not be heard. Because of this they will stop speaking out and societal issues for women will never be solved. Sexual assault should never be normalized or silenced.

@KIN110UofR I enjoyed the social class theory because its not something we often think about in sports society. Yet if we pay closer attention it becomes more apparent and we begin to notice it in sports.

@KIN110UofR The playground at the elementary school I attended in a small town was built just a few meters from a train track. Luckily the track was out of use by the time I had started at this school. But there was a train that sat there unused that children would play on. #riskyplay

@KIN110UofR Although competition dance was founded in 1935 it wasn't brought to Canada until 1965. Therefore if I had been born in the 1940's there's very low chances I would even be aware the sport of dance even existed, and I likely wouldn't have had the opportunity to participate in it.

@KIN110UofR Im not often impacted by many other sports, but I plan my extracurricular life around the schedule of my sport specifically. I also work as a teacher in this sport in order to keep connected with it and have the ability to fund my activities.

@KIN110UofR The dictionary definition of a sport does make sense when explained in this article. Although as a dancer I receive comments such as "Do you do any REAL sports too?" "Dance isn't a sport." Even though I agree with this article others may disagree because of their beliefs.
