I knew the £117M valuation was there for a reason. Eghbali is an astute negotiator. Arsenal’s directors have handled this poorly. They already have valuable asset in Martinelli, so why not use him to bridge the gap and get the deal closer your valuation?
Chelsea managed to sign Rogers for £75M plus Garnacho, who was surplus to requirements, yet Arsenal seem completely fixated on £117M. Bertha seriously needs to go back to school.
Martinelli plus 50 to 55M max gets that deal done easily 💯.

Taking nothing away from Argentina, and of course also being a Messi Stan, I’d still like to ask, What is it about African teams and not being able to finish well even after a strong start ? And more so when almost crossing the finish’s line?

Is it that the other teams are just more superior ? Or more experienced?

Personally, I think it’s a mentality issue. There’s just something about the way they think especially toward the end of these games that switches them off.
