Dealing with “God Told Me to Tell You” Statements

The man of God said, “I cannot turn back and go with you, nor can I eat bread or drink water with you in this place. I have been told by the word of the Lord: ‘You must not eat bread or drink water there or return by the way you came.’”

The old prophet answered, “I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the Lord: ‘Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.’” (But he was lying to him.) So the man of God returned with him and ate and drank in his house.
1 Kings 13:16-19 (NIV)

Along my journey I have been, from time to time, approached by individuals who proclaim to have some kind of “God told me” word or statement that pertains to me. I am not discounting the possibility that God could speak to me through another person, but I have learned over time to approach these situations with Jesus’ words in mind: “Be shrewd as serpents and gentle as doves.”

The man of God in today’s chapter had been given a clear directive by God. Along comes another prophet whose “God told me” statement contradicted the clear word he’d been given. His blind faith in the stranger had disastrous results. I don’t want to make a similar mistake, so when someone claims to have a word from God that affects me, there are a few simple guidelines I’ve learned to follow:

CONSIDER THE SOURCE.

If approached by a stranger or a casual acquaintance whom I don’t know, I am going to be appropriately more cautious. If it comes from one of the guys in my inner circle, or a fellow believer who knows me or not or whom I know and respect like my spiritual leaders then I’m immediately going to give it greater weight in my consideration to seek More Confirmation from God

BEWARE OF CONTRADICTIONS.

There are some things that I’ve learned about myself and believe wholeheartedly based on my own experiences and faith journey. If I am supposed to be in A, B, or C place I believe that God has a purpose for me there. If someone approaches me today and said, “God told me that you are supposed to move to a Different location entirely” then I would be immediately, shrewdly suspect. This contradicts all of the sign posts and waypoints on my journey and I would go to God to verify if it's a Deceptive word or if he's behind it

SEEK WISDOM.

There is a need to have a very strong Prophetic community and Prophetic Leaders who you can meet and say "I was told this word by a Prophet or Prophetic person but am not really sure about them can we please seek God for more clarity,

NOTE:

As Believers or even Prophets it's wisdom that we should have a Prophetic Community we can call upon when there is an issue we need the Company of prophets to Address and also be Accountable unto
Prophets move in packs

DON’T WORRY.

God will accomplish His purposes in your life (consider Jonah). All you need to do is to be open and actively listening and continually asking, seeking, and knocking. If you are supposed to move to America by God's Divine you will surely get there .

Just because someone tells you such doesn’t mean you need to be obsess about it. Chill. Have faith. Follow. Press on and surely you will get there

DEMONS ARE TERRITORIAL

There are Demons who are only Assigned to Attack Presidents and Leaders

There are Demons who are only Assigned to Attack only Prophets , Anointed Vessels of God and Pastors and Preachers

There are Demons who are Assigned to only Attack the Elites and the Wealthy people

Every High Level or Position in life there are Demonic Princes that are Placed in that realm to subdue anyone who comes in that Ranks

These Demons have Different Strategic ways of Operation

The Demons who are Assigned to Attack Prophets or Anointed Persons will never Cross it's Boundary to Attack Presidents

This is why everyone in Strategic Position in the earth realm should be Spiritually Wise and intelligence

Meanwhile the Same way there are Demons who are Assigned to Different Ranks and Positions like Presidents, Prophets , Anointed Vessels, Wealthy people, Elite people, etc there are also Angelic beings who are also Assigned to guard the men in the kingdom of God who take up those positions

There are Angels Assigned only to Guard Presidents who are Destined to lead God's people but meanwhile the President will have to Align with the Mind and Agenda of God for the Works of the Angelic beings to be in Active Force

There are Angelic Beings who are Assigned to guard Ranking positions etc.

There will be a warfare between the Demons and the Angelic beings in the positions you are Made to Horn when you are in Alignment with God's will and Agenda and The Angels Will over power the Demons

THIS IS JUST MIND BLOWING!

The man you see in these images was Fela’s right-hand-man.

He was the lead guitarist for Fela Anikulapo Kuti.

Years ago, this man gave his life to Christ.

According to him, he was with 3 pr0st1tutes the night he gave his life to Christ.

Then, he sent them out immediately.

But, it gets more interesting.

He said that one of those days he was going to church, and immediately he was about to enter the church, the Holy Spirit told him that all his money was blood money and he should do away with it.

So, he called his bank in Miami and instructed them to write off all his money to Charity.

Guess How Much?

67 MILLION DOLLARS!!!

This man in obedience to the voice of the Holy Spirit and his convictions wrote off 67 MILLION DOLLARS to Charity.

It didn’t end there…..

He said after writing off his money to Charity, he became broke.

For 9 years, he was squatting with different people.

He said that anytime those people he was squatting found out that he had connections with Fela, they would kick him out.

But, in those 9 years, he was busy preaching the gospel at different g@ngster and pr0st1tute quarters.

One day, he accidentally ran into one of the former pr0st1tutes he usually patronized.

After preaching to her, the lady spat on his face and wondered if h had run mad to have abandoned his wealthy lifestyle just to carry Bible and be looking so poor.

While I watched this story, I started really thinking deep about life as a believer.

Let me share some of my deductions…..

📌 What Counts for Man is Not What Counts for God!

A man can be a millionaire or billionaire, but, as long as God is concerned, that man is poor.

This is why as believers, we should never make our boast in the things that can still be gotten outside Christ.

The proof that you are a believer is not in how wealthy you are or how well things are going for you.

📌 That You Obeyed God Doesn’t Mean You Won’t Suffer

Wouldn’t it have made sense that because it was the Holy Spirit that told him to write off his 67 million dollars, God would have made provisions for him immediately.

Hebrews 5:8, the Bible said that “Jesus learned obedience by the things he passed through.”

Modern day Christianity do not want to hear that suffering is part of the protocol for enlistment.

Paul told Timothy in 2 Tim 2:3 that one thing the believer must learn to do is endure hardship.

God uses hardship to test our resolve in believing what He has spoken to us.

📌 As a Believer, You Don’t Wait for it to Work Out

You have to continue to work even when it makes no sense.

He gave his life to Christ.

He didn’t know what next.

But, he continued in preaching to the lost soul.

Many times, we are carried away by the pursuit of perfection.

No!

We must continue doing what God has told us to do whether we have a reward now or not.

📌 There is No Saint Without a Past and There is No Sinner Without a Future

Never write off anyone!

The most dubious person today might become God’s greatest battle axe in the future.

As a believer, try not to fall.

But, if you fall 10,000 times, rise up again and carry your Jesus without any shame.

2 MARINE KINGDOM THOUGHTS THAT ARE KEEPING YOU STUCK AND UNDER DEMONIC INFLUENCE

1. “I MUST SUFFER FOR MANY YEARS IN THE WILDERNESS BEFORE GOD CAN ANNOUNCE ME.”

That is a lie from the pit of hell.

The wilderness was never designed to be a permanent address. It was supposed to be a short journey. What prolonged it was disobedience, unbelief, and rebellion.

God is not glorified by keeping His children stranded in hardship for decades.

The wilderness was not given to teach Israel how to suffer. It was given to teach them how faithful God is, even in difficult places.

The wilderness was a classroom for the provision of God.

It was proof that God can feed you where there is no farm, give you water where there is no river, and preserve you where there is no visible support system.

Stop glorifying unnecessary delay.

2. “GOD IS NOT BLESSING ME BECAUSE HE KNOWS THE BLESSING WILL TAKE ME AWAY FROM HIM.”

Another lie.

The Bible says, “The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”

God is not withholding your inheritance because He is afraid of what it will do to you.

The God who can maintain the salvation a man in poverty can also maintain his salvation in prosperity.

Many believers secretly fear increase. They fear influence. They fear abundance. They fear visibility.

Then they call that fear “wisdom.”

Your expectation of sorrow may be the very thing stopping you from pressing into all that God has prepared for you.

Reject every thought that makes you suspicious of God’s goodness.

STOP THAT MARINE THOUGHT NOW.
