I’ve repeatedly stated my opinion that Crowborough Camp - which I’ve stayed in a number of times - is unsuitable for illegal immigrant accommodation.

We require a real solution to the accommodation problem - purpose built and ideally offshore (overseas territory) that double as a deterrent - and an end to ad-hoc, incoherent and inadequate arrangements to manage what is a strategic challenge.

Furthermore, until we stop allowing the U.K. to be seen as an attractive destination, the boats will keep coming and the need for accommodation will be never ending.

Despite our collective, lawful, peaceful and consistent efforts to get the Home Secretary to listen to our concerns, she has ignored them and has now moved “Illegal Migrants” into the Crowborough Army Training Camp.
