PMOS (Poly Metabolic Ovary Syndrome)
This is a hormonal disorder that can affect periods, fertility, skin, weight e.t.c
It is diagnosed based on a combination of:
• Irregular or absent periods
• Signs of high androgens (acne, excess hair growth, hair thinning)
@aproko_doctor The swelling isn’t simply “too much fluid.” The parasite damages the lymphatic vessels, causing lymph to accumulate in the tissues → chronic inflammation → fibrosis and thickening of the skin. when the lymphatic drainage system fails, the tissue slowly remodels itself.
@the_beardedsina Tobacco use, excessive alcohol consumption, obesity, physical inactivity, certain infections (e.g., HPV and hepatitis B/C), radiation and prolonged exposure to carcinogens can increase cancer risk. Prevention, screening and early detection remain key to reducing cancer morbidity
Hello X 👋

THE DAY I REALIZED NURSES ARE NOT YOUR MATES 😭💉
As a medical student, you enter the ward with confidence.
Your white coat is white.Your stethoscope is shining.Your handwriting is still readable.
You think life is sweet.
Then you meet the senior nurse on duty
At that point I said:“No wonder these people don’t fear anybody.” 😭💉
Because honestly, hospitals would become organized confusion without nurses.
Doctors may lead treatment plans. But nurses are the ones making sure human beings actually survive the plan.
@aproko_doctor Stomach ulcers can be completely cured completely ✅
Treat the cause (H. pylori antibiotics or stop NSAIDs)
most patients heal fully in 4–8 weeks; recurrence falls to ~0–2%. Thank you @apro

Do you know that severe period pain is not normal?
Endometriosis is one of the most underdiagnosed conditions in women and many suffer for years before anyone takes their pain seriously.
Endometriosis is not just a “bad or painful period”
It can affect mental health, relationships, work, and fertility.
Many women are told their pain is normal, leading to delayed diagnosis and years of unnecessary suffering.
Severe period pain deserves proper investigation.
