Infibulation, the worst form of female genital mutilation (FGM)
Many people are unaware of the practice known as infibulation. While this lack of awareness is a good sign (at least it indicates that the practice is not widespread), I still feel compelled to shed light on this harmful practice perpetrated against girls.
First, they will cut the girl's clitoris and labia, they will then sew her vulva (the part many people call vagina, where intercourse happens), leaving only a small space for menstruation. As in, the vagina is almost completely sealed, leaving just a tiny hole.
Once they're done, they would tie her legs together to allow the wounds heal. The healing usually takes 20 to 40 days, depending on the girl's body. This means she won't be able to move throughout this time as her legs would be tied up for the entire period of healing.
The stitches are designed to be opened by the husband on the wedding night, subjecting the woman to further trauma. This practice leads to severe health complications, including urinary tract infections, fistulas, and infertility. During childbirth, women who have undergone infibulation often require repeated incisions due to the narrowed vaginal opening.
Currently, infibulation is still practiced in some parts of Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, and Sudan. The fact that it has also been practiced in North America, Australia, and New Zealand in the past highlights the global nature of this issue.
This morning, I am making this post to raise awareness about infibulation and FGM in total and to condemn it. The pains and the dangers surrounding it is just too much to bear. My name is Àròjinlẹ̀ and I stand against female genital mutilation.

The details of a French-sponsored terrorism operation in West Africa using Nigeria as its operational base are currently being exposed to the world and guess what happens?
One shirtless idiot puts on his ring light to start yapping on the internet about NGO and N160m - and Nigerians eat it up AGAIN! Our people can never spot and strategically ignore an obvious distraction when it is deployed.
A social engineer's dream population!
This is how the story goes. True life. Nothing was removed, nothing was added from the person it happened to.
Shaagi rented an apartment here in Ketu Lagos from an elderly Deltan man who happened to be in the Army. He is a respected high ranking officer. From the source, the man was a Colonel as at that 2015 this issue happened.
This house is a 5-bedroom house where the Landlord lives with his new wife of about 28 years. He remarried after losing his wife 4 years to that time. Shaagi’s apartment is a miniflat which serves as the only BQ to the main house in front. That makes Shaagi the only tenant. Shaagi was already living in the property before the man brought in his new wife. The landlord was rarely at home.
As new couple, the man opened a massive shop in front of the house for his wife for the sales of provisions and groceries with wine section. There were chillers everywhere and a filled shop. He actually made a statement with that business opening in the area. It’s important that Iyawo Colonel should be busy with business while her husband is away for days
The landlord loves Shaagi like his own son and he was allowed to live peacefully even without paying Nepa bills or waste disposal bills except rent. Shaagi brought in his friends, Korede and Ahmed and they all started living well together in the BQ. It was blissful. Some Sundays, the landlord when he’s around will bring out bottles of alcohol and they all will be wasted in the compound as men do. Shaagi too, being a good guy takes care of the compound every time, like cleaning it or removing weeds and this further increased the love his landlord had for him. He was his favorite amongst his friends. It didn’t even take time for the love to be passed on these 3 guys by the wife too. She will cook for them with or without oga instruction. These guys were in their early 30s.
As time goes on Ahmed’s job was relaxing and he had more time at home while Shaagi and Korede worked on, though they were as well free when they need to. Ahmed was very relaxed that it’s even perceived that he has lost his job if not for calls to be at work sometimes that makes the feeling go away, yet he was buying new stuff, getting new TM packing shirts and balling way more than when he worked assiduously.
The balling was so much coupled with frequent travelings, especially to Ibadan. It’s always “I am going to Ibadan for work today” “I’m going to Ibadan for work tomorrow”. You can link the travel and balling to promotions at work. At a time, he even told some of their other friends he is looking to get an apartment in Ibadan. He was really balling. There was tranquility…
Until one day, the Landlord who came back from work unexpectedly placed a call to Shaagi who was at work to quickly rush home. Kilode? Kiloshele?
“This man has never called me like this before” “what must have happened” were the thoughts running through Shaagi’s head as he rushed home. To his amazement, he met his landlord in the compound panting and unsettled. “Sir, good evening” “I rushed down as soon as you called. Hope no issue”. The man didn’t say a word, he just took Shaagi straight to the shop and opened the door. The sight was shocking. The entire shop was empty. No freezers, no goods, no wares, no stationeries, no groceries, nothing. I mean “Nothing”. It was empty like a new building. He took Shaagi inside the house too and it was almost empty. TV missing, rug missing, some flower vase, his wife’s clothes, all her belongings, everything that has to do with her missing. Her phone OFF. The man started questioning Shaagi if his wife told him anything which he said “NO” to. He even asked the man if he had a fight with his wife that morning which he claimed, nothing like that ever happened. Where’s she?
The story still long, I dey come…
