Vogue Australia confirms that ADÉLA’s debut album is still expected to arrive this year.
The album will be a mixture of vulnerable hits and dick slappers, according to ADÉLA’s brainstorm.
ADÉLA talks about finding her style in her Eastern European culture:
“When you’re an immigrant, sometimes you don’t really want to embrace your culture, you want to fit in,” she says of being one of the few international pop stars to emerge from Slovakia. [Her stylist], she adds, has encouraged her to “explore the Eastern European aesthetic, the Brutalist architecture”.
ADÉLA was recently featured in Vogue Australia’s June edition, in a section curated by herself.
“I think it might be a bit of a shock,” she says of embracing her provocative side on her new releases. But despite her self-assuredness, she is still finding her style: “I don’t have a brand that’s imprinted yet”
