It was a joy to visit the ICE Institute. I want to thank Simad University in particular for hosting and for the productive meeting we had.

[ICE Institute @ICESomalia]

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Adam Abdullahi Isak, the Director General of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Southwest State, Somalia, to the institute.

Our discussions centered on assessing the outcomes of COP29 and their implications for Somalia, with a particular focus on the forthcoming NDC3.0. We also explored innovative financing mechanisms to scale climate action and strengthen our collaboration in supporting impactful climate initiatives across Southwest State.

This visit highlighted the importance of partnerships in accelerating adaptation efforts in the state.
