The question you should ask is that, in comparison to which zone? South East or core North?! At least he lost two States in his own zone. How many did others lose in their zone? If a Northern can defeat Tinubu in Osun State and Eastern defeated him in Lagos - what does that tell you? But the same thing can't happen in Anambra and Sokoto respectively. Even if you're not wise at all, pretend for 2 seconds.

Edo and Kogi States governors were in Osun in support of their candidate for the coming election and they used the opportunity to pay homage to the Ooni of Ife being the paramount ruler of the entire Yoruba race. It's the common thing every politician will do in their case. Why force this thing when there's none. You can't build something on nothing!

Adeleke of Accord has been to the palace countless times this year and he will still be there this coming week to commission a project in Ife. Southwest remains the only geopolitical zone that doesn't votes along ethnic line to an extent. Peter Obi won the entire south-East in the last election by high margin. The same can be said for Atiku in the core north. Tinubu lost Osun and Lagos to Atiku and Obi respectively. The strongest critics of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration are the Yorubas. Believe what you believe but Yorubas are not naive and gullible when it comes to politics. By precedence, Ooni hosted top & several presidential candidate during the 2023 presidential election and it can't be picked anywhere he rejected seeing anyone of them. So, which current realities are you talking about??

Being proud of your own ethnicity is a license to support sheer foolishness and public idiocy? I'm full fledge Yoruba but I am also a rational mind who can decipher intelligence from deliberate stupidity. Oluwo goofed for the statement he made openly. For the fact, no presidential candidate will even visit his palace. If any Presidential candidate will visit any palace in Osun, it'll be the Ooni's palace and he will largely welcome them without pushing incendiary narrative of ethnic sentiment. Should Tinubu visit Emir of Kano or Obi of Onitsha during electioneering campaign - he must be welcome.

If Oluwo is saying other Presidential candidates shouldn't come to Osun to campaign because he's supporting PBAT, how is that a correct notion following the spirit and letter of our federation, Constitution and collective common sense. Imagine every king in every state pushing the same narrative along interest bloc, what will the election look like?
