Yo CT, I wish I understood this earlier

“I love you” can mean something deeper than we think

There is a metaphor called fish love

One day an old man saw a young man eating fish

The young man ate fish every day so the old man said

You must really love fish

The young man said yeah I do

But the old man replied

You do not actually love the fish

You love the way the fish tastes

You love the satisfaction it gives you

Then he said

If you truly loved the fish you would care about preserving its life and protecting the species

That made me think

Sometimes when we say I love you what we really mean is

I love how you make me feel

I love what you do for me

I love what I get from being with you

There is nothing wrong with enjoying what someone brings into your life

But real love goes beyond that

True love means caring about someone for who they are and not only for what they provide

Sometimes loving someone genuinely can even mean accepting that being together may not be what is best for either of you

Because love is not always about having someone

Sometimes love is wanting what is best for them even when that choice does not benefit you

I think the same thing applies to CT

If we genuinely value this space it should not only be about what alpha we can extract from someone

It should also be about what we can contribute

Share information that can help someone make better decisions

Share opportunities

Teach what you know

Give people the knowledge that helped you grow

Because if everyone only comes here to take the space becomes empty

But when people share teach connect and genuinely want to see each other win

We all become better financially and intellectually

That is the kind of CT I want to be part of

Something interesting just went live on Base 👀

@2FactorFinance has launched its public beta for Coinbase’s tokenized stocks, bringing Kelly optimized leverage to onchain equities.

The idea is pretty straightforward:

Instead of treating leverage as something meant only for short term trading, 2Factor is building around investors who actually want to hold their positions for longer.

After starting with Bitcoin, 2Factor is now bringing that approach to tokenized stocks on Base.

Definitely an interesting direction for onchain finance.
