Blockchains are transparent by design. Every transaction, balance, and smart contract state is public. That openness builds trust, but it also blocks real-world use cases where privacy matters—private payroll, confidential DeFi, onchain auctions, and enterprise data.

@fhenix is tackling this head-on by bringing Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) to Ethereum.

Compute on encrypted data without decrypting it, FHE lets you run computations directly on encrypted inputs and get an encrypted result. The data never leaves its encrypted state, so privacy is preserved end-to-end. For years, FHE was considered too slow and expensive for blockchain. Fhenix is changing that.

Their breakthrough is Decomposable BFV (dBFV), a cryptographic technique that splits computations into parallel integer slots to control noise growth. The result is exact arithmetic with no approximation drift, 50x faster decryption, and the ability to batch over 1,000 transactions efficiently. This is delivered through CoFHE, an FHE coprocessor that offloads heavy computation offchain while keeping verification onchain.
