We need to teach people about the mercy, peace, justice, compassion, tolerance, discipline, honesty, and beauty of Islam. The goal should not only be for people to read the Qur’an, but also to understand its message and live by its teachings.

Many of our students—including youths and even adults—can read and write Arabic but have limited knowledge of the actual teachings of Islam and how to apply them in their daily lives.
