Numerous children have been kept close in unsanitary and non-spacious facilities. Little to no effort has been put into the prevention of COVID-19 in these facilities, exposing already vulnerable children to health risks.
Many PWDs have been and are very much capable of achieving incredible things. But, they can only do this when equipped with the proper support and accommodations. Meet Brina Maximo, a wonderful example in overcoming her supposed limitations!

Disabled people deserve to have the same opportunities and support as their able bodied siblings. As we celebrate Brina Maximoโs accomplishments, we advocate for the continued progress in creating a society that is accessible and inclusive to the disabled community!
Today, we celebrate the accomplishment of Arnel Aba and we hope that this serves as an inspiration for everyone to join in the fight to a more inclusive society. Here is to Breaking Barriers!

In 2004, Arnel Aba lost his right leg during an accident involving a drunk driver. It was so difficult for him that he felt compelled to commit suicide even tried to step in front of a pickup truck. The driver stopped the car before he hit Arnel and things began to change for him
Adhaya believes that through more extensive support and awareness, everyone can learn to love their eyes while empowering initiatives that prevent vision impairment and reinforce policies that assist people experiencing such. ๐
