@HermanL45290384@AndrewHammel1@ATabarrok Sure, but the heat doesn’t stay forever, night cycles cool things down below human level comfort, look up passive housing. I’m not saying ac isn’t useful, but well engineered housing goes a very long way.
@GBragaLobato@AndrewHammel1@ATabarrok That isn’t strictly true. It would be vastly impractical, but so called passive buildings do exactly that, by having very heavy structural elements surrounded by very light very thick insulation and zero leaks. Just like how gothic churches can stay cool in summer, but more so.
@AndrewHammel1@ATabarrok “Designed to keep the heat in.” It’s called having thermal inertia and it works at holding cool in the summer. Whatever else is true in your statement, this particular is engineeringly nonsensical.
@RichardHanania The possible collapse of AMOC is literally on wikipedia. There are studies saying it has already began to collapse. It’s basically the end of Europe. You are seriously behind with your reading.
@Tombeecon@Noahpinion Europe is not like America. We have plenty of large deep cold brick buildings, pharmacies with ac and water at every step. This is not the cause. More likely people being irresponsible with their health.
