Yesterday, we celebrated our rockstar PhD student @AdilArman08 birthday with our first outdoor gathering! 🥳☀️ It was a fantastic day to spend with team, who I miss so much, while I am on parental leave. Happy Birthday Adil! #ShandraLab
After lunch, a baby went to play on the roof. Shortly afterward, a street clash erupted. Hearing the commotion, her father hurried to bring her inside. As he picked her up, a stray bu*ll*et struck her in the head. The girl fell into his arms and died instantly. I am speechless🙃
Helicopter shooting's has killed several people during the internet shutdown. Many deaths coming on..
One of them was a six year who was shot dead while she was playing on her rooftop.

Students are protesting for their rights and against injustice, and I wholeheartedly support them. What the government is doing is shameful. They can’t provide jobs, and now they have started killing them. These killings must stop, and the government should issue a public apology.
Join me in celebrating 100 years of EEG, please retweet!
On July 6th, 1924 Hans Berger recorded the first EEG on a human, only published in 1929. This invention of the EEG has resulted in many clinical applications ranging from diagnosing epilepsy and sleep disorders to Brain Machine Interfaces (BMI/BCI), neurofeedback and EEG as the first clinically actionable biomarker in precision and stratified psychiatry.
What's your favorite application of EEG?
See the full series 'Pioneers of the EEG' here: https://t.co/mgWrwcSgHc also in Spanish.
🎉 Happy Birthday, Dr. @OleksiiShandra ! 🎂 Your dedication, hard work, and impeccable time management inspire us all. I’m incredibly lucky to have you as my PhD mentor, guiding me every step of the way. Here’s to many more years of success and brilliance! 🎈
The work of the graduate trainees, often the backbone of research productivity, is undervalued and underpaid. The system ultimately values the outputs more than the well-being of the individuals, leading to burnout and talent drain. That’s going to require re-engineering mentorship and funding mechanisms to actually invest in the next generation of scholars. #AcademicTwitter #PhDChat
