It is not Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan who does 'Pariksha pe Charcha'. It is Modi. Where he directly talks to students year after year - telling them how to deal with stress and prepare for board exams. So when the exam papers leak, why is Modi not talking to his beloved students?

That is why Modi does Pariksha Pe Charcha and not the Education Minister. That is why Modi inaugrates every big and small project in the country. That is why Modi meets the armed forces every Diwali. That is why Modi announced demonetization. That is why Modi is going around the world meeting leaders.

It is the classic Bollywood syndrome.

The hero cannot appear to be vulnerable or weak.

For BJP's domestic politics, it is important that Modi has the 56-inch image all the time. Else his ability to garner votes diminishes. And he is their superstar. That is why all the good things must land on his lap. Modi hai toh mumkin hai.

But there always needs to be a Bakra for all the failures, whether it is the Health Minister during covid, Education Minister during exam leaks, or Railway Minister after accidents. Because the hero cannot fail, else the picture will flop.

Modi centralizes praise, and decentralizes criticism.

Silence can sometimes be strategic, but at other times weakness, and on certain occasions, cowardice.

25–28 is an interesting age. I've observed an inflection point during this time at which people start to really diverge in their careers.

e.g.
I have friends who, by this age, have become wildly successful, making millions of dollars, and some have even achieved fame.

Other friends have fallen into a dark hole, not able to find employment or steady work, and even starting to engage in destructive behavior, resulting in life-changing circumstances.

I wonder what it is at this time that causes this extreme divergence.

My guess: if you start working at 22 after graduation, it takes about five years to get good enough at something where people start to notice.

But if you don't find traction early, a few years of drifting can push you toward harmful habits that push your life in the opposite direction.
