People need to be careful running with unconfirmed ratings. Whether there was a drop in viewership in the second round, we will find out for sure later.
@danisnow27 I don't want her gone, but the numbers don't fit. One of the big 3 is going to have to take a major pay cut for all three to stay. And the Fever still have to pay 8 other women too.
Final Thoughts: I see nothing controversial here, unless you either, 1. don't think a popular pro sports team is going to have some crazy fans, or 2. twist the interview into her saying she is leaving because of the Fever fanbase. Both of which are delusional takes. (18)
Q8: She's asked to evaluate the season as a whole, and ends it saying they dropped some important games for seeding and that while it was a great season they ended up disappointed. Which is true. (17)
Q7c: She continues to discuss the Fever, saying that they've done a good job of protecting the players and keeping them comfortable despite how crazy the world has gotten. She expects the Fever to keep rising and that we have to "brace ourselves" for the success coming. (16)
Q7a: Asked about the organization and the Fever family, would she be content ending her career with the Fever. "Heck yeah! Reparations, man. I knew what this was like when this wasn't so easy and so fun to be around. But I stayed down for the vision the Fever has." (14)
Q7b: This is another important quote that is getting left out. Despite discussing the down sides of the new Fever, she immediately says she would continue to stay with them and described the current experiences as "easy and fun" compared to what it used to be. (15)
Q6g: All of this new attention, good and bad, comes from CC. Kelsey went from, as she said, having not many fans, and no one really caring about her or the team either way, to being in the center of a raging, endless storm of love, hate, and scrutiny. (13)
Q6d: "I think having to show up for people that don't look at you and have, like, the eyes, the star eyes when they see me. But playing with CC and having the eyes that she got, it's- we get a lot of flak for just for being on her team. That comes with a lot too." (10)
Q6f: Of course the Fever have fans that are inappropriate, but the "people in the world, fans of the basketball world" part indicates pretty clearly that she's also talking about hate she gets from fans of opposing teams and the general media nonsense (12)
Q6e: "I just think people got to give us grace. I think this organization is unbelievable, man. But I think that when it comes to like really trying to be yourself, it hasn't always been easy. That's all I'll say." (11)
Q6c: "We as players endure a lot that people don't necessarily understand. About... showing up every day to compete for fans that may or may not like you is hard. I don't think people understand that." (9)
Q5: Asked about chemistry with CC. Mentions being the best backcourt duo in the league, stemming from a shared love of the game. Praises CC as an "unbelievable" point guard and says she'll be successful. She loves the Fever, loves C, but has to figure things out for herself. (6)
