This past week @Sunnybrook celebrated their recent #ChoosingWisely🇨🇦 designation at the Leadership Status level! Our Chair, Dr. Wendy Levinson, dropped by to see how Sunnybrook is leading organizational change (and maybe to grab a cookie or two): https://t.co/Yk71jpxDT5

Huge congrats to @Sunnybrook for becoming a #ChoosingWisely🇨🇦 Hospital at the Leadership Status level - the highest achievement awarded in our national program
It is not ok for Muslim or Jewish communities to live in fear.
It can never be okay to have to wonder about who the next victims of hate filled violence might be.
We must collectively rise up and root out all forms of identity based hatred and dehumanization.
In the face of increasing opposition, DEI advocates must shift focus from defending its positions to defending its position.
DEI must better advocate for its survival if it wants to remain impactful in healthcare

One of the largest Jewish schools in Toronto currently being evacuated due to threats right now. This is the reality of antisemitism in Canada. Words are not working. Requires real action.

A couple more pics of the vandalism at Starbucks in midtown Toronto this morning. A big thank you to @TorontoPolice for their fast response and for all they’ve been doing to keep the Jewish community safe and protected in recent weeks.
ARAB-JEWISH SOLIDARITY
For over a month there has been no organised sport in Israel, due to the October 7th massacre and the resultant fighting.
This morning, two football teams in Israel from predominantly Arab areas played a practise match to keep their players fit.
Facing each other at the Shalom stadium, Hapoel Um Al-Fahm F.C. and Moadon Sport Kafr Qasim F.C. elected to hold a minute's silence in memory of all those slaughtered and abducted in Hamas' assault on southern Israel one month ago.
The director of the committee for the advancement of Arab society and the periphery, and director of Umm al-Fahm F.C., Mohammed Abu Alam, said the following:
"In a joint decision between myself and the owner of Kafr Qasim, Mr Bilal Badir and I, amidst great, unsubsiding pain, express the deep partnership and unity of us all with this symbolic act of a minute's silence in memory of the fallen. May we know better and brighter days, for Arabs and Jews alike."
This is it.
Here is my first article for @TheAtlantic talking about my life, my journey, and my dreams for peace between Israel and Palestine.
I got the opportunity to publish this because my posts went viral on this app.
Thank you all ❤️🇮🇱🇵🇸🕊️

Your Jewish friends and colleagues will never be the same. What is taking place around the world as a result of a terrorist organization massacring Jews in Israel highlights how much Jew hatred there is and how tolerated it appears to be. We feel devastated, scared and alone.
The only word for that is antisemitism.
I would not tolerate this level of violence or hate speech on any other ethnicity/religion and you should not tolerate it or stay silent when it is happening towards Jews.

I have a lot of colleagues on social media from all ethnicities and religions that I care deeply about and have great respect for.
It is important that you all know that for the first time in my life, I need to consider whether it is safe to have a mezuzah on my door…1/6
including Jewish run establishments, Jewish daycares/schools and Jewish places of worship (which to be clear, is happening with an alarmingly increase in frequency all over the world, including right here at home in Toronto).
