@abuotor That is the sum total of it all. We have to be intentional about the type of players we produce. It all boils down to the poor level of our grassroot coaches.
@Photo_Geniuss_ They could have but were not given the adequate preparations. Our administrators are a total disgrace. Playing against Togo, Burkina Faso, Niger, etc, is no way to prepare of a world cup unless you don't have plans to go far.
@abuotor Thank you!! It is clear that we have a VERY SERIOUS coaching problem at all levels of the game in Nigeria. Would the NFF do as you disclosed? They & most journalist are living in complete delusion that there are good local coaches. We are in trouble ooo.
@amara_faitho We don't believe in proper preparations. We believe in luck & individual talent. It was very clear that these girls have no experience playing quality from outside Africa. They struggled to cope because of that. Our administrators are totally useless. Our luck has now run out.
@abuotor@highbee92 Puerto Rico lost 6-0 earlier today against North Korea, so I expect us to win well. Might be enough to qualify as 3rd position (best loser).
@highbee92@abuotor No the levels in oppostion is higher. This team has never played a team at the level of this Polish team. None of the WAFU teams are anywhere near this Polish team & it gets harder 'cause North Korea is far stronger. The will no doubt beat Puerto Rico very well though.
@david_clin94618@NotSlightlyUsed This same Uchiebe played central defence in this same Comorros match & never made a misplaced pass. Also Ucheibe was tremendous at the world cup. The role of a DM is to protect the defence and Ucheibe way better and more reliable on this role. Madugu is simply a useless coach.
@david_clin94618@NotSlightlyUsed No sane coach would play Joy as DM against Morocco when Ucheibe is available. Comoros had no ability and experience to compete with us in the middle. On the other hand Morocco dominate most African teams in the middle. They have they experience & exposure. Not worth the risk.
@YinkaOgundipe@NaijascoutforSE U done write arrant nonsense. How did dependence on dual citizens lead to the poor state of our football. Name any set of Flying Eagles or Golden Eaglets where dual citizens where call up players in the last 10-15 years? See how u post absolute rubbish.
@david_clin94618@NotSlightlyUsed So you are using Joy's performance against a far inferior opposition to put her in the same category as Ucheibe. Na wa oo, You guys get carried away so easily. Tanzania beat Botswana 6-0 (7-0 agregate) & Botswana has more pedigree than Comoros. Our win is nothing special.
@david_clin94618@NotSlightlyUsed Remember, it's Comoros ooo! Joy hasn't been tested. Morocco is a different level. Ucheibe would have to back to the midfield & Demehin returns to partner Oladipo in central defence. Joy needs to learn under Ucheibe & Abiodun.
@david_clin94618@NotSlightlyUsed So you go bench Abiodun for Igboke? Una get short memories ooo. Abiodun is several levels ahead of Igboke or even any other African DM & is still only 23 years old. Igboke never reach. It's just Comoros for goodness sake? Talk about being carried away.
@CFC_Aj4@EmmyYice@NGSuper_Falcons It's hybrid without natural grass which is a no no for the super eagles. Such pitches can't host major tournaments. The hybrid is with synthetic fibres.
@abuotor It does if she's been playing there for over 4 seasons. Such player shouldn't be called up to the Falcons. I prefer an NWFL player to a 3rd tier league player anywhere. That we make such callups shows how unserious we are.
@abuotor So the Falcons is now a team where any player is called up just to be tested? She's not even playing in the 2nd tier of English football but the 3rd. No serious nation makes such callups let alone 'testing' them.
