A joyous moment for every Indian!

Chola Copper Plates dating back to the 11th Century will be repatriated to India from the Netherlands. Took part in the ceremony for the same in the presence of Prime Minister Rob Jetten.

The Chola Copper Plates are a set of 21 large plates and 3 small plates and largely contain texts in Tamil, one of the most beautiful languages of the world. They relate to the great Rajendra Chola I formalising an oral commitment made by his father, King Rajaraja I. They also showcase the greatness of the Cholas. We in India are immensely proud of the Cholas, their culture and their maritime prowess.

I thank the Government of the Netherlands and Leiden University in particular, where the Copper Plates were kept since the mid-19th century.

Tamil Nadu currently has 39 seats. If delimitation was done solely on the basis of the 2011 Census, it would have had 49 seats. But as per the GOI’s formula of increasing the shares of all states proportionately and by 50%, it will now have 59 seats.

2. Kerala currently has 20 seats. If delimitation was done solely on the basis of the 2011 Census, it would have had 23 seats. But as per the GOI’s formula of increasing the shares of all states proportionately and by 50%, it will now have 30 seats.
3. Andhra Pradesh currently has 25 seats. If delimitation was done solely on the basis of the 2011 Census, it would have had 33 seats. But as per the GOI’s formula of increasing the shares of all states proportionately and by 50%, it will now have 37 seats.

4. Odisha currently has 21 seats. If delimitation was done solely on the basis of the 2011 Census, it would have had 28 seats. But as per the GOI’s formula of increasing the shares of all states proportionately and by 50%, it will now have 31 seats.

5. Telangana currently has 17 seats. If delimitation was done solely on the basis of the 2011 Census, it would have had 24 seats. But as per the GOI’s formula of increasing the shares of all states proportionately and by 50%, it will now have 25 seats.

In his May 2024 X post Stalin, a freedom fighter, who promised to protect freedom of speech. Here is list to show what steps he took to protect freedom of speech and the press during his 3-year rule.

25.6.2021: After taking office as Chief Minister in May, the first step Stalin took the following month (June) to protect freedom of the press was to arrest YouTuber Kishore Swamy under the Goondas Act, accusing him of defaming him.

11.10.2021: After three months, Stalin arrested YouTuber Duraimurugan, accusing him of defaming him.

2.1.2022: The next month, Stalin arrested Duraimurugan under the Goondas Act.

24.6.2022: Stalin arrested YouTuber Kishore Swamy under the Goons Act, accusing him of defaming him.

21.11.2022: Stalin arrested Kishore Swamy again, alleging that he had defamed him.

23.3.2023: The Stalin government arrested YouTuber (Savukku Shankar's assistant) Pradeep for criticizing women's rights.

17.6.2023: The Stalin government arrested BJP State Secretary J. Surya for criticizing the DMK in a social media post in the Senthil Balaji case.

18.6.2023: The DMK government arrested social media activist Uma Karki for allegedly defaming the E.V.R. and women.

25.9.2023: The DMK government arrested Arani Mahesh for defaming Udhayanidhi Stalin.

13.10.2023: The Stalin government arrested Muthuramalingam, the propaganda secretary of the Forward Bloc, who had spoken out against the release of the accused in the 1998 Coimbatore bomb case.

4.11.2023: The DMK government arrested 6 farmers who peacefully opposed land acquisition under the Goons Act.

17.3.2024: Stalin's government arrested Minjur Salim on charges of posting on social media against minorities.

17.5.2024: Stalin's government has arrested YouTuber Savukku Shankar and registered 7 cases against him, apart from the cannabis case.

- This list of cases was taken from the media. Apart from these, it is not known whether there are other cases or arrests. 6 of the arrested people were arrested for defaming Stalin or Udhayanidhi. These are the steps that Stalin, a freedom of speech fighter, has taken to protect freedom of speech for 3 years.
