Educating Women. Shaping Futures.

It was a privilege to join the 57th Annual Day of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College, held alongside the celebration of the 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, as Guest of Honour, alongside Shri Vijender Gupta, Speaker of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, and Ambassador Shri Alok Dimri.

Principal Prof. Neelam Goyal highlighted the college’s academic achievements and its sustained commitment to empowering women through holistic education.

What stood out most was the energy of the young minds in the audience—their aspirations and confidence reflecting the promise of a new India.

I highlighted how education remains the most powerful enabler of women’s empowerment—opening pathways across personal, professional, and global spheres, and nurturing what I call a balanced, multidimensional personality. I also reflected on India’s growing role in advancing gender equality globally, and how both policy and lived experience are converging to place Nari Shakti at the centre of Vikas and Virasat.

An occasion that celebrated not just achievement, but the power of aspiration—and the futures being shaped every day.

At O.P. Jindal Global University, alongside Prof. Ambreen Khan and Prof. Ashmita Singh, I reflected on the sari as my own form of power dressing through 43 years of diplomacy—across Geneva, New York, and beyond.

Through seasons and settings, I chose not to blend in, but to stand out—with quiet confidence. The sari, paired with jackets, boots, and resolve, became more than attire—it became presence.

Not just representing myself, but a civilisational identity—India, worn with intent.

A journey in six yards.

From a young girl discovering the sari, to making it her own—even when it was dismissed as unfashionable—to tracing its civilisational depth and sensory richness, this book became a layered exploration.

Of memory and modernity. Of stories where the sari speaks as much as the wearer. Of a garment that engages all the senses—and carries the weight of continuity and culture.

And today, as I reflect on Gen Z and shifting patterns across metros, small towns, and rural India, one thing remains clear—the sari is evolving, but it endures.

Congratulations to the entire @NRL_MoPNG team on a landmark year. Processing 3,113 TMT of crude in FY 2025-26, at 103% capacity utilisation, is the refinery’s highest-ever throughput, and for the second consecutive year NRL has run beyond its rated 3 MMTPA capacity.

LPG production ramped up over 22% in March 2026 alone, responding precisely when the country needed it most. MS production, too, set a new annual record. NRL is not just Assam’s refinery; it is a strategic national asset, and its performance reflects PM Sh @narendramodi Ji’s vision of transforming the Northeast into an engine of India’s energy security.

सिर्फ 17 साल की उम्र में Squash खिलाड़ी बेटी अनाहत सिंह ने Squash on Fire Open का बड़ा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय खिताब अपने नाम किया।

PM @narendramodi जी ने नोएडा इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट, जेवर के प्रथम चरण का उद्घाटन कर उत्तर प्रदेश की विकास यात्रा को एक नई उड़ान दी।

प्रदेश के विकास के रनवे के रूप में इस एयरपोर्ट से युवाओं के सपने उड़ान भरेंगे, संभावनाएं साकार होंगी और भविष्य नई ऊंचाइयों को छुएगा।

सिविल एविएशन मंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार) रहते हुए मुझे भी इस एयरपोर्ट की सैद्धांतिक मंजूरी देने सहित नीतिगत केंद्रीय मंजूरी दिलाने में गिलहरी योगदान देने का अवसर मिला।

निःसंदेह, जेवर एयरपोर्ट UP को ग्लोबल कनेक्टिविटी का केंद्र बनाएगा। प्रदेश ही नहीं, देश की आर्थिक प्रगति को एक नई गति प्रदान करेगा।

Jewar in the Crown
So happy that the state-of-the-art Jewar Airport adds yet another jewel to the civil aviation infrastructure crown of the National Capital Region, Uttar Pradesh, and India.

With the inauguration of Phase 1 of the Noida International Airport in Jewar by PM @narendramodi ji, DXN becomes India’s latest destination on the global aviation map. This ultra-modern, world-class airport, which will connect Delhi and Noida to the world, is India’s first net-zero emissions airport, featuring solar power and low-carbon construction materials. India’s civil aviation sector has witnessed transformational change over the last decade. As we aim for 200 airports across the country in the coming years, we have also seen how the sector rose to the occasion in difficult times—bringing back our citizens under the Vande Bharat Mission during the pandemic and Operation Ganga at the onset of the 🇷🇺–🇺🇦 conflict. Aviation has also contributed to India’s green energy transition through the adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel.

The sector stands firmly in service of Bharat and her people.

It is always a pleasure to return to O.P. Jindal Global University—this time in conversation with Prof. @ambreen06615259 Khan and Prof. Ashmita Singh. Ambreen’s warmth and incisive moderation, alongside Ashmita’s sharp, contemporary lens, shaped a book discussion that was both thoughtful and alive.

What stood out most was the Gen Z energy in the room—curious, questioning, and unafraid to reinterpret what they inherit. The discussion on The Sari Eternal: A Tribute became a genuine exchange.

For them, the sari is not nostalgia—it is reinvention. Not obligation, but choice. Not costume, but confidence.

Perhaps that is where Love You Zindagi meets Love You Sari—in the freedom to become.

International crude prices have gone through the roof in the last 1 month from around 70 dollars/barrel to around 122 dollars/barrel. Consequently, petrol and diesel prices for consumers have gone up all over the world. Prices have increased by around 30%-50% in South East Asian countries, 30% in North American countries, 20% in Europe and 50% in African countries.

The Modi Government had two choices- either increase prices drastically for citizens of Bharat as all other nations have done or bear the brunt on its finances so that Indian citizen is insulated from international volatility.

Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji, in keeping with his Government’s commitment of last 4 years since the conflict in Russia-Ukraine started, decided to take a hit on its own finances again to safeguard the Indian citizen.

Government has taken a huge hit on it taxation revenues to ensure very high losses of oil companies (approximately 24 Rs/litre for petrol and 30 Rs/litre for diesel) at this time of sky high international prices are reduced. At the same time, export tax has been levied as international prices of petrol and diesel have skyrocketed and any refinery exporting to foreign nations will have to pay export tax. My gratitude to Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi Ji and Hon’ble FM @nsitharaman Ji for this very timely, bold and visionary decision!

PM @narendramodi जी की अध्यक्षता में केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने जलवायु परिवर्तन पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र फ्रेमवर्क कन्वेंशन को सूचित किए जाने वाले भारत के राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर निर्धारित योगदान (2031-2035) को मंजूरी दी।

यह निर्णय 2047 तक विकसित भारत और 2070 तक नेट-जीरो के लक्ष्य के अनुरूप, भारत की प्रतिबद्धताओं को मजबूती देगा।

केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने ₹28,840 करोड़ के कुल परिव्यय की क्षेत्रीय कनेक्टिविटी योजना - संशोधित उड़ान योजना को मंजूरी दी।

इस योजना से दूरस्थ, पहाड़ी और द्वीपीय क्षेत्रों में संपर्क स्थापित हो गया है, जिससे पर्यटन, स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं तक पहुंच और आपातकालीन सेवाओं को बढ़ावा मिला है।

कैबिनेट के इस निर्णय से कम सेवा प्राप्त और सेवा से वंचित क्षेत्रों के लिए क्षेत्रीय हवाई संपर्क को मजबूती मिलेगी।

Empowering Enterprise. Celebrating Excellence.

It was a privilege to join Le Extraordinaire – Season 8, an initiative of Magicka global, as Chief Guest on International Women’s Day, where 16 outstanding women were honoured—each a spark lighting the path for many more to follow.

My admiration for Magicka—a thriving ecosystem of over 1.57 lakh women MSMEs—only deepened. At its helm, Raizy Bedi and Rabbani Seth have not merely built an organisation; they have cultivated a living, breathing network of aspiration. Their leadership turns possibility into practice, and ambition into enterprise—stitching together a global sisterhood that now spans 16 countries.

Women-led MSMEs are not peripheral actors in the economy; they are its growth engines and its conscience. When women are given access to capital, markets, and mentorship, enterprise becomes empowerment, and empowerment becomes a multiplier—rippling through households, communities, and the nation at large.

Platforms like Magicka are not just enabling businesses; they are redrawing the economic map—placing women firmly at its centre, where they have always belonged.
