The living tribunal literally had to combine forces with the other abstracts.

Few have, and even fewer at Phoenix's scale. Her power is limitless.

@butterflykyss Handbooks aren't canon. What's on the page is. You completely disregarded what was on panel. Jean Grey as the Phoenix Raptor communicating with Carol. And this was Jean with no body. There was human body to inhabit and yet she was talking to Carol because she is the Phoenix.

@butterflykyss Jean has a human form, but as we see from the actual panel, what is actually canon, we see that is not merely some host. She is the Phoenix. We even see her as Phoenix Raptor when communicating with Carol at a time when she didn't have a body. She is the Phoenix.

@butterflykyss First, this handbook is not canon to the comics. The comics don't base their lore off this book. And further, the handbook stated that it can give its power to a mortal host, which is true with many of the Phoenix's host, but Jean is different. She is the Phoenix.
