I agree with this post, but it only points to effect, not the cause. IE: Why should Missouri change its constitution at all? Serious question.

A state constitution is the structural nuts & bolts of how a government functions: finances; elections; separation of powers; limitations; etc. It should be very difficult to change.

It is not a FB post for everyone's political hobby horse - like smokin' weed, or killing babies, or sports betting, or which bathroom to use - into the structural nuts & bolts of how our government functions. That's what ballot initiatives and propositions, and yes, your legislature is for - which #Yes4 does not effect.

Why should Missouri change its constitution at all? It should only change with great effort and great unity among voters when a serious change concerning the structural nuts & bolts of how a government functions is required. It should be very difficult to change.
