We are a research team at the University of East Anglia carrying out a two-generation ESRC-funded study of identity, risk, and resilience in adoptive families.
We have now finalised the recruitment. Many thanks to all our participants, individuals and organisations that supported us in the process. We continue to analyse data and plan to share our findings later in the year.
@theelephantmum Hi TheElephantMum. We can also include intercountry adoptions but into the UK and by British adopter(s)? Please email us to discuss [email protected]. Thank you!
We in @AdoptedParents study still need to hear from 3-4 more adoptee dads. Interviews will now be conducted via Skype or Facetime. To take part, please text or WhatsApp us on 07721 108991, or email to [email protected].
Stay well, everyone!
@AdoptedParents study needs more #adoptee fathers adopted in the last 30-40 years. Dads interviewed so far have found it comfortable to talk and reflect as our interviewees are in control of what they tell us and it's confidential. Please get in touch: https://t.co/D1nTv43ICb
Looking for guest posts for my blog, particularly interested in pieces on identity, the nervous system & relationships with adoptive siblings... please RT 🙏

Great week for recruitment (thanks all!). We are now holding a few places for adoptee mums whose children don't live with them, but still have plenty of places for adoptee dads and a handful of adopter grandfathers. Please get in touch to take part (contacts below).
We have our first adoptee dad’s story: parenting is hard work but he does his best to ensure his children have a happy childhood. He spoke about his enduring desire to protect his children as doesn’t want them to go through what he had to. Share your story:https://t.co/XvPHfeyRE8
