Recruitment for this study is now closed. Thank you to all the people who have taken part. I really appreciate the time and effort you have taken to share your experiences.
We are starting a new recruitment phase of also speaking to professionals working in adoption services. Do you support people who are adopted? Could you speak to us about how adoption is spoken about and what you feel the impact can be. Please get in touch.
Recruitment of 16-24 year olds will be coming to a close soon, thank you to everyone who has taken part. If you think you might be interested it's not too late to get in touch for more information :)
@MackSteph74 There is another linked project for ages 25 + however the recruitment has closed for this now due to the researcher being at full capacity for interviews.

@MackSteph74 Good question. We are interested in all ages, it's just that we divided into two separate age groups recognising the changes that have happened in adoption practice over the years and the developmental changes that are occurring between 16 and 24 years old.
We haven't heard from any male participants yet so if you think you could be interested or have any questions at all please get in touch for an informal discussion, there is no pressure to continue to interview if you don't want to.
This research is on hold as the researcher is away, recruitment will recommence summer 2023. If you are interested in taking part, please get in touch via the contact details on our poster and we will be in touch when the research resumes. We look forward to hearing from you :)

Please feel free to get in touch for an informal conversation before deciding whether you would like to take part in an interview or not. We can answer any questions and talk you through the participant journey!

@MackSteph74 Good question - a linked project that was running alongside this one recruited people who are 25y+. Recruitment has ended for 25y+ as it reached capacity. We hope to consider the experiences of the individual age groups and consider the influence of changing adoption practices.
Very happy to be hosting my 5th #adoptee meet-up next week in North London.
As you know, it's my mission to have a How To Be Adopted group in every town and city in the UK!
(International followers, we haven't forgotten you.)
