Councils are still issuing new licences to breed.

Please retweet , British councils will say they don't have the resources to assess all stray dogs or potential new homes. A British council can kill a healthy dog after just 7 days if local shelters are full. Shelters across the UK are full, most with waiting lists of people wanting to give up dogs. Councils are still issuing new licenses to breed.
Please tag your MP in these posts, email them or ask to meet them about overbreeding in your area?
Sadly no figures exist re how many dogs councils are killing, as vets are not required to report how many healthy dogs they kill for councils or owners.

Please retweet, urgent home needed for 12 yr old ROSIE Terrier 💔💔💔 Rosie is another of our new arrivals from the council pound. #YORKSHIRE #UK She hadn’t had any offers of help, and we just couldn’t leave her there at her age.
Rosie is struggling in kennels - she’s started to put the brakes on and refuse to come back into her kennel which is just heartbreaking, but who can blame her - she shouldn’t be homeless at her age and be having to go into a kennel. She is safe with us, but desperately unhappy and we won’t sit back and let her struggle.
We URGENTLY need a foster home for Rosie ideally with a view to adoption (but not essential).
Rosie needs a quieter home where she will get plenty of company, older children upwards, no cats, possibly a very calm smaller older dog as she just ignores dogs . The only time we’ve heard her bark is at a horse - she likes to tell them that she might only be small but she is a terrier after all .
If you can help us to get this gorgeous little old lady out of kennels, please get in touch ASAP!!

Our two little heartbreakers, Baby Danny and Baby Harlan, have stolen our hearts over the past couple of months. ❤️
Baby Danny came to us from Limerick after being found abandoned in an old horse box on an industrial estate, left in an incredibly vulnerable state. 💔💔💔
He was so tiny, frightened and fragile, and we worried terribly about him.
But look at our boy now. ❤️
He absolutely loves his new formula, and although he can be a little difficult to get eating and drinking, he is doing so, so well. ❤️Watching him grow in confidence and become stronger has been absolutely wonderful. We adore him beyond words.❤️❤️❤️
Danny and Harlan are just two of the many babies who depend on us. We will always be here for them, no matter how difficult their start in life has been.💔💔

Fox saved from the Blackmore and Sparkford Vale Hunt yesterday at Bishop's Caundle. Police were called and arrived in time to save another fox that was being marked by hounds under fallen trees in the wood. On seeing police, they legged it and packed up.

Meet our beautiful girl Cora, who has recently arrived into our care after one of our UK rescue contacts reached out to us for help.

Cora has a heart-breaking past. She was originally rescued from a meat trade slaughterhouse in China, where she had sadly suffered unimaginable cruelty, resulting in the loss of one of her ears and part of her front leg. Thankfully, those days are firmly behind her. Despite everything Cora has been through, she certainly isn’t letting her past determine her future. She is an incredibly happy, affectionate and enthusiastic girl who is embracing her new life to the fullest.

Cora absolutely loves getting out and about and can be wonderfully bouncy and excited, particularly when she first sets off on her walks! She loves exploring the world around her and has plenty of strength behind her when she gets going. Due to her previous injuries and current fitness levels, Cora can tire as her walks continue, so her exercise will need to be built up gradually as she becomes stronger and fitter. She is already making fantastic progress and continues to improve every day. Cora is also very food motivated, which will be a brilliant tool for continuing her training and helping her learn alongside her new family.

Cora’s ideal home: Could happily live with another suitable dog or dogs, Would also be perfectly happy as an only dog, enjoying all the attention for herself , Best suited to a home with older children who can understand and respect her boundaries, A family willing to gradually build up her exercise and continue her training, Plenty of love, adventures and, of course, belly rubs!

Cora is a long coat and will require regular grooming once it’s grown back. After everything Cora has experienced, what she deserves now is simple — a safe, happy and loving home where she will be cherished. She is ready to leave her past exactly where it belongs and start the next chapter of her life surrounded by love, security and plenty of new adventures.
