One should probably look at the world in total. China did manage to ‘move’ lots of manufacturing from other countries to China during this period. So it could just reflect a movement of manufacturing (and thus oil usage) from other countries to China. Difficult to judge by looking at one region in isolation

@idale @MagnusHeystek The switch over to EV’s will take 25+ years, so we have time to build out the electricity network. With the new rules on generation, the private sector will build out enough capacity for all the EV’s. Capitalism will sort it out.

An important point that no one really mentions is the name … Tesla do not sell a feature called “Full self driving” they call it “Full self driving CAPABILITY”

That is an important distinction. They sell the “capability” on top of that the further qualify it with BETA.

This is not the point being argued here, but we need to be clear about the Level 2 and the name of the feature sold.
