At a time of such peril and with the threat of a full on fascist American dictatorship... I sleep better at night knowing Starmer is our PM and Labour is in power.
Imagine the jeopardy if the clown, the lettuce or the sinister little billionaire were still running the country.
@john4brexit You could not be more wrong. Trump, Putin and Shi respect strength. Britain has no strength without Europe.
That is why Putin funded the Brexit campaign. We need to stand with Europe or else Britain is going to get flattened in the next ten years.
Europe is uniting. And we are part of it.
For defence, security, trade, standards and citizen freedoms…
Let’s build a strong Europe and put British innovation and values back at the heart of it - where we belong.

Donald Trump announces his 10-point plan to rebuild America's school system:
Among his promises is teach patriotism, bring back 'school prayer, and fire teachers who disagree.
This is how our freedom ends.
Other useful ( but underused) German compounds:
AngstvorderFalschenPartei
Literally: Fear that you have arrived at the wrong party. Or that a better party is going on elsewhere while you are stuck at this one.

@Iromg@Keir_Starmer He is attending an Armistice Day Commemoration with one of Britain’s closest allies in the Second Trump era.
Seems eminently sensible to me.
What is your issue?
Mark Rylance is a great actor but his Thomas Cromwell is completely wrong. Henry VIII would have had him executed for depressing the court with his moping.
Ben Miles who played Cromwell at the RSC was much more the man Mantell wrote (he worked with her on the stage adaptation)
Premiering tonight on BBC
The Mirror, The Light & The Most Miserable Man In Tudor England.
Mark Rylance is a great actor. Why does he play Cromwell as Thomas Moore or gloomy Erasmus with an emotional range from A to B?
