This follows other recent incidents, including multiple drones crashing near Dubai International Airport (one of the world's busiest hubs) on or around the same day, injuring at least four people (including individuals from Ghana, Bangladesh, and India with minor to moderate injuries) and briefly disrupting flights before operations resumed.

UAE air defenses have intercepted the vast majority of incoming threats (hundreds of drones and missiles reported), but falling debris and direct impacts have damaged civilian infrastructure, started fires, and caused casualties across Dubai and Abu Dhabi—totaling at least 6 deaths and over 130 injuries region-wide so far.

Additionally, UAE authorities have strictly prohibited filming, photographing, or sharing videos/images of drone/missile incidents, impact sites, debris, or related damage.

This falls under the country's cybercrime laws, which ban publishing content that could disturb public security, spread rumors, or incite panic.

Violators—including tourists and residents—risk heavy fines, up to 2 years in prison, deportation, or both. Recent cases include a British tourist and others charged for allegedly recording and posting footage of Iranian missiles or strikes over Dubai.

The situation remains highly volatile, authorities continue urging the public to rely only on official channels for information and to avoid capturing or circulating any visual material from these events.
