@phd_with_aischa @PhDVoice I was in my 3rd year before I earnestly started on my first paper. The first 2 years were focused on classes and the studies I did during those times were big flops. It all came together eventually. It just takes time.
ICYMI! I have a new paper out in Aquatic Conservation: Marine and Freshwater Ecosystems featuring a database of North American freshwater mussel life history traits. I hope it can be a useful resource. Check it out here: https://t.co/oX8NqGHz8q
The full database can also be accessed at: https://t.co/NM45uJ07VD in several formats. This is a great resource if you're looking to find life history data on a particular FWM species

@Lyndsie_Wszola I invested in a proper chair and desk, which was quite expensive. I also make it a point to stretch at lunch and when I stop working in the evening
As a person who has felt excluded from field work because of my gender, everyone should definitely think about the approach they take when recruiting people for field work. I felt excluded then and I feel under-qualified for field work-based jobs now. #WomenInSTEM
