We may well be guilty, but ridiculous shit like this has muddied the waters with City’s reputation. There is zero chance a UK-based panel with even a passing familiarity with English football hasn’t been influenced to some degree by 8 years of one-sided reporting and distortion.
In the past 10 years, Brighton have grown their revenue from around £24m to £222m.
Sold their best players. Recruited well. Rebuilt. Improved. Grew again.
No crying about the rules. No moaning that the system is against them.
Just smart recruitment and good decisions.
Respect
I think the level of hysteria around the Man City case is becoming very weird.
People genuinely acting like the Club has to be destroyed and sent to the shadow realm have lost the plot in my opinion.
They weren’t found guilty of match fixing. They weren’t paying refs. This isn’t comparable to the Serie A scandal or Lance Armstrong.
They saw an anti-competitive and unjust rule which only allowed the same 4 teams to dominate the League and said “no, we don’t want to wait decades to slowly build up revenues and have to sell our best players every time they do well to stop us from succeeding. We have the money, we’re not going to be irresponsible with Man City’s finances, we want to invest and compete now”.
Again, the idea that every team other than 3/4 in the League has to go on a constant merry-go-round of “hey that player for you guys is really good, we’re going to just take him because you can’t invest any more of your own money and he would be wasted at a middling team like you” is wrong. It doesn’t help football in this country and the rules should change to allow these clubs to be bought by owners with even deeper pockets who can give those clubs and even higher chance of sustained success.
Not to piss on his chips but if we are found guilty on appeal, it will mean we will have won everything by not being bound by arbitrary financial rules and by being able to outspend our rivals - exactly the same circumstances as he won all of his trophies under.
🤣🤣 it’s actually mental how literally no one gave a fuck about this because Chelsea have been shite for a few years but because city win a lot of things then it’s the integrity of the game and all that 🤣
Fellas after all the bills straight and the people you responsible for good make sure you treat ya self to something. God ain’t put you here to pay bills and die 😂😂
It’s not going to be positioned this way, but we are on the precipice of a millennial revenge era. American public life is about to be dominated by a bunch of 35-45 year olds who are so fucking normal.
This movie was way better than people gave it room to be. It wasn’t trying to be The Dark Knight. Movies are allowed to be fun. It wasn’t perfect and there’s a fair amount I’d change about it. But it was FUN.
