@mcmill2008 Anyone who was registered for this bar should! People flew from out of state, even out of country! At least ten peers of mine came up from Oregon Law, all of us making the commitment to come up here to take this test with the ultimate goal of living and practicing in Washington

@DietCoke_Esq Fortunately, us testing in Washington (without accommodations) have nothing to worry about, since we never got past the first loading screen anyways!

I posted a lot on the NextGen debacle as a lot of info was all coming in at once.

But I’ll say one last thing: the reaction, and it’s a pattern with the NCBE and others, is wrong. They disregard the difficulties that their “solutions” will have on others because they have all the power in this dynamic. They don’t have a competitive business. These customers (bar takers) aren’t going anywhere. The business is safe.

So, they claim to “offer alternatives.” Take it or leave it. But both taking it and leaving it pale in comparison to the other alternative: the NCBE and others tasked with administering a test simply doing their job and administering the test.

@ProfUnger @WAStateBar Was there. They quite literally just tried to do the same thing over and over again for hours with seemingly no back-up plan. It’s fascinating. To shove all 700 of us in 1 room, on the same network and program, and expect it to work without testing beforehand is incredible.

This is cruel and ridiculous and unacceptable. You are way too cavalier with the lives and mental well-being of thousands of people. This needed to have been stress tested and of operability was ever a question it needed to never have been scheduled.

@tracewoodgrains Correction: Yakima is not a new testing spot, but from my understanding this is the first time in a long time they decided to consolidate everyone to one testing center instead of two. Hence, massive overload of the internet

@tracewoodgrains Why did they take us to Yakima? Why try out a new testing center (which is crazy inconvenient for everybody) when also trying out a new test for the first time? Did nobody stress test the software? With bar apps being due months ago, they can’t say they didn’t see this coming.

@BarExamTutor Can confirm, they told us to either retake tomorrow/thursday (assuming they can get it working by then), get a refund, or reschedule for Feb. No mention of reimbursement for the last minute hotels and travel plans many of us have to make. Really bad situation up here

We're not talking about a delay or anything. There was no bar exam today in Washington. Disaster rollout of the NextGen Bar Exam.

The response (at least as reported): something to the effect of "there's always February!"
