They thought she was just being moved in a wheelbarrow…
but she was on her way to be put down.
She wasn’t sick or aggressive, just scared. Right before it was too late, a rescue team saw her and saved her. 💛
Now she’s safe, loved, and finally home.
As President, I would read 10 letters a day sent to me by ordinary Americans. At the Obama Presidential Center, we’ll have some of the letters I read — and responded to — every night. I still get emotional reading them, and it’s one of my favorite exhibits.
I adopted a dog today who was on the list to be euthanized by end of day. I drove 2 1/2 hours to get him. His name is Jaxson and he is already spoiled.
🎉 HUGE WIN for wild animals in New York!
The NYS Senate just passed the Traveling Wildlife Act (S.3629-A / A.5850) with a bipartisan vote of 54–8, banning the use of wild animals — including big cats, bears, and primates — in traveling shows and circuses across New York State.
The Assembly already passed it 100–38. Now it heads to Governor Hochul's desk. ✍️
Nearly 80% of New York voters support this ban, and World Animal Protection US joining other animal protection organizations in urging Governor Hochul to sign it into law, ending the suffering of wild animals forced to perform for entertainment.
📞 If you live in New York, call Governor Hochul's office right now and tell her to sign the Traveling Wildlife Act: 1-518-474-8390
Every call brings us one step closer to a kinder world for wild animals. 🐯🐻🐒
I did a Blake’s Seven Audio Book with him a couple of years back, he was the same gentleman he was when I did an episode of the tv series fifty years or so ago, RIP SIR🙏
He had been missing in the woods for a week, blind and alone
One kind man refused to give up until he found him.
When the reward came, he didn’t keep it for himself — he donated it to help more animals in need
He didn’t ask for treats…
He didn’t rush to play…
He simply wrapped his paws around his new human and held on as if he’d finally found the place his heart had been searching for. 💔
This is what the first moments of adoption can look like for a dog who’s known fear, loneliness, or abandonment.
That tight hug isn’t “clingy”… it’s relief. It’s trust forming. It’s a silent whisper of:
“Please don’t leave… I finally feel safe.”
Dogs don’t need luxury.
They don’t judge your past or your flaws.
They just want safety, patience, and someone who won’t give up on them.
Be kind to the ones who have been through more than their hearts could handle.
Because sometimes, the biggest transformations begin with one gentle human and one scared soul who just needed to be loved. ❤️
At the rate it’s going I may have 50,000 followers by my birthday. How crazy is that! I’m just a small collie who likes a eggs and shenanigans (with a LOT of help from Auntie Kes)
