What happens when you stop evaluating an AI agent by its answer and start evaluating it by the work it leaves completed?
That’s what caught my attention about Commerce Agent Bench. @Accio_official just open-sourced a benchmark built around 107 real-world tasks spanning procurement, product listing, operations, order fulfillment, and after-sales ... across browser, API, CLI, and files.
No multiple-choice, no toy Q&A. Agents have to work across email, browsers, calendars, docs, supplier platforms, and logistics systems, pulling signal out of messy real-world data and actually executing, not just describing what they’d do.
Here’s the part I didn’t expect: this isn’t testing whether AI can "replace the buyer." It’s built around how e-commerce actually works right now ... humans make the key decisions, while agents handle professional-grade execution and advising underneath. That framing alone makes it more useful than most "AI beats human" benchmarks I’ve read.
One of the wildest tasks: an agent gets ~300 messy procurement emails and has to reconstruct the truth. Verify suppliers across aliases and shared addresses, rebuild the final valid quote through multiple revisions, normalize six Incoterms and four currencies into landed cost, and catch a BEC payment-redirection scam hiding in a lookalike email ... all without flagging legitimate mail as fraud.
What actually makes this rigorous, though, is the grading. Scoring isn’t based on what the model says ... it’s based on what it leaves behind. Did it apply the right label? Save the right draft? Create the calendar event? Get a real shipment ID from the freight platform?
No self-reported summaries, no partial credit for a good explanation. Either the trace exists in the system, or it doesn’t. That’s a genuinely different bar from most agent benchmarks I’ve seen.
The data behind it is what gives it credibility: 10M SME users → 1.6M full conversations → 200K execution traces → 2,000 high-value workflows → distilled down to 107 tasks, filtered for reproducibility and decidability.
This wasn’t invented in a lab. It was distilled from real Accio workflows .. then rebuilt as mock environments, so agents can be tested safely.
And the people setting the questions are the same people running the workload: Accio serves 10M SMEs worldwide (30x growth in a year), backed by Alibaba’s 27 years of e-commerce operations. When the exam writer is also the one fielding the real support tickets, the exam tends to be a lot harder to game.
My take: agent benchmarks should measure more than how convincingly a model can explain what it would do. The real test is whether it can execute the task correctly and leave verifiable evidence behind.
That’s the bar agentic AI needs to be held to before anyone hands it a real storefront.
It’s open-source and actively updated (v1.3.1), and the team is inviting people to contribute mock environments.

Powerful AI tools launch every day.
But actually using them often means dealing with APIs, configuration files, credits, and errors.
Taku 2.0 is built around a simpler idea:
AI shouldn’t be another technical system people have to learn. It should just work.
Here’s what that looks like:
The hardest part of managing brand deals isn’t creating the content.
It’s remembering which draft needs approval, what goes live next, and which payment is still outstanding.
Mine was spread across notes, calendars, spreadsheets, and messages.
So I described the workflow to Base44 and built SponsorDesk, a simple dashboard for campaigns, deadlines, approvals, and payments.
It took me less than 5 minutes, and the form, filters, records, and totals were already working.
At what point does building a small internal tool become easier than paying for another SaaS product?
