Hey all! I am sharing my PayPal once again because in the midst of my own medical misfortunes and car issues, I have an unexpected housemate for a bit and I am running way short on cash to pay for basic necessities like food, power bill, etc. https://t.co/4QIyBx0tNa
@random_snakes It's none of my business, I freely admit, but I do hope people keep an eye out to make sure she's okay. Because she is very young and it's easy to get overwhelmed, especially by someone famous.
@random_snakes Having been in an abusive relationship with an older adult when I was that age, I can confidently say I wish someone besides my parents had said something about my ex's age. Because while the age gap wasn't as bad as this, it was odd he didn't date people closer to his own age.
@random_snakes Yeah, my parents were too poor for that. They're doing good now, but back then, spending on a computer wasn't in the budget.
Hilariously, I've seen variations of this meme where smart phones are mentioned instead. The first iPhone came out when I was in college.
@random_snakes Like, people sincerely forget that when I was born in the 1980s, computers were prohibitively expensive and may not have even included a modem because the internet was not something most people used. I didn't have a computer at home until I was nearly in middle school.
@random_snakes Ah yes, the old joke. "Millennials will never understand [insert random item that millennials, who were born between 1980 and 1999, would definitely understand.]"
Now, some of my gen z family members weren't taught to use it but that's a failure of the school system, not a joke.
@random_snakes What disgusts me is that 20 years ago when I was in high school, this BS would have been confined to the fringes of the internet, only occasionally spilling out into places people could see. Now it's mainstream.
@ChaosLordJiro @Nash076 Maybe he misspelled "violins". I don't know about anyone else, but violins are more relevant to my daily life than violence is.
@JoshuaGoji Maul's death in Rebels was great but I do agree with both takes. Maul being the villain of the sequel trilogy from the beginning would have helped it out a lot. It suffered a lot from having villains that were hard to care about and "somehow, the emperor returned" didn't save it.
In just 22 hours, 578,000 people have watched this video about Johnson & Johnson's pursuit of secondary patents for bedaquiline and how this will lead to millions being unable to receive curative treatment for tuberculosis. https://t.co/Zy86nQE7lD #PatientsNotPatents@JNJNews
I get a lot of graduation announcements this time each year (which is a specific and important joy in my life) so I was initially quite confused when I opened up this one.
Thanks, Joe.
I think this is the only website I've ever seen that was like "this easy way of securing your account that you've used for years is ONLY for paying customers now".
