I can’t even begin to describe how angry this makes me. It is not ‘a calling’ and I do so much more than ‘hold hands’. It is a profession for which I am highly qualified, very experienced and have huge responsibilities. My pay and your bullshit rhetoric does not reflect this.
@MerlinFDC4 Me and me for mine (I’m single). I rope my eldest into helping me re-make my bed when she’s home from uni. Both daughters change their own bed linen at intervals they’re happy with 🫣
@mrjamesob “Oh that’s just Boris, isn’t it?”
“Oh that’s Russell, isn’t it?
“Oh that’s just Saville, isn’t it?”
Maybe if people stopped enabling/justifying toxic personality traits at the time, whatever those traits.

Great cultures involve healthy confrontation and uncomfortable conversations. Poor cultures avoid these at all costs which leads to longterm disfunxtion.
If you're an MP who's had a 32% pay rise since 2010, and have your meals subsidised by the taxpayer, you're in no position to lecture a nurse who, since 2010, earns £5,000 less in real-terms about pay restraint. There's plenty of money; it's just going to the wrong places.
Dear Steve,
There are currently more than 100,000 vacancies across the NHS.
There are also more than 7 million people waiting for NHS treatment - the highest on record.
People can see straight through your nonsense.
Hope that helps.
Massive congratulations @BradwallBread here’s to many more. The best bread ever. Hoping you’re able to open on Saturdays very soon 🤞🤞. And thanks for the awesome bag 👍
Can you believe... It's our first birthday on Friday?! 🥳 It's been such a journey and we're ever so grateful for your unwavering support throughout. Here's a throwback to our first few months in operation. We've come so far since then! ⏰
The government argument that higher public sector pay will bump up inflation was debunked by leading economist @MyStephanomics on @bbclaurak this morning.
She says: ‘That’s not something economists tend to agree with’

@TheWhiteHorsePu@ShitChester Congratulations @TheWhiteHorsePu for the kind and gentle way you are dealing with this rather than just naming and shaming. One never knows the circumstances folk are in. Hopefully the owner will step forward and move the vehicle 🤞
The government has sold the Oxford Vaccination production unit to an American Company for £200m Built in 2014 to respond to Ebola and absolutely essential during Covid, we will not have it for the next pandemic. It would cost just £5m a year to keep open. Another Conservative Party benefical financial deal for somebody or just their normal incompetence? @RishiSunak, could somebody please look at this and explain why.
My 94-year-old grandmother has kept a list of every book she ever read since she was 14 years old. Amazing archive of one person’s mind over nearly a century
I am staggered that this deal is being proposed by unions. It sells their members horribly short. It builds in austerity. And it leaves the NHS with a continuing pay, retention and recruitment crisis that will crush its ability to meet the needs of the people of this country.
