🚨 BARGAINING UPDATE:
The public service bargaining committee resumed negotiations with the provincial government this morning, after four weeks of job action and over 15,000 workers on pickets lines across the province. Unfortunately, negotiations have broken down once again, as government failed come forward with an improved wage proposal.
Paul Finch, BCGEU President and chair of the public service bargaining committee, updated the media on the picket line this evening in Victoria. “We are incredibly disappointed and this was totally unacceptable. There’s no point in calling us back to the table if you’re not going to present something materially different,” said Finch. “The ball is again in the government’s court. We want government to stop playing games and come back to the table with a fair offer.”
