Meet Temptress! One of my regulars from work is leaving the province and couldn't take her with him. I recently lost my own cat Katya, and had room to bring this little angel home with me. I will *always* miss Katya, but I'm glad I was able to give Temptress a new home ❤️
31 staples. That's how many were used in my surgery. I counted as they were removed earlier today. I'm waiting for neuro to touch base for a nerve study, and in about another month I will find out about PT options. Oh joy, oh bliss. Fucking NOT!

This meant I may be able to finally refill that damn reservoir.
SUCCESS!
It took a bit of wrangling, and freezing my arse off. But! I managed to get most of the jug of fluid into the reservoir. Clean windows w00t!
Adventures in dealing with a broken arm:
I managed to refill the windshield wash reservoir for my car. It's been empty for almost a week, but I couldn't refill it...I needed both hands/arms.
Yesterday, I finally managed to lift my left arm over my head. YAS! 1/2
@aWeeG3 I wish I could work remotely, but such is life sometimes. Everybody understands that I can't do everything I used to do, so they're picking up the slack. But if I could afford to be off work, I'd happily be off for another week. But I'm a broke-ass biotch lol
One week post-surgery.
I'm slowly regaining the ability to use my left hand/arm. Getting dressed is no longer a huge struggle...the only clothing I can't wear yet are jeans due to needing both hands to bottom them up. But I've been able to wear t-shirts and stuff again!!
Surgery went well! I've already got some usage back in my left arm/hand, but getting my wrist to cooperate will take some time. A plate, several screws, and loads of stitches later....it's all good!
@aWeeG3 I'm in a lot of pain, which is to be expected with the type of surgery I had. I had thought I'd be okay to work today...boy, was I ever wrong! I didn't go in today and I've got the next 2 days off. Fingers are crossed for Saturday!
@aWeeG3 I only take anything for pain if I can't handle the pain anymore. I really don't like taking pain meds at the best of times. I have 11 of the 15 Dilaudid pills I was prescribed from the ER...high pain threshold haha
I hope your surgery goes well and that you heal quickly!
@aWeeG3 I'm scheduled for surgery on Tuesday due to winding up with radial palsy. When I left the hospital, I could move my wrist and fingers on my own, but I've since lost that ability. The nerve could be just pinched or squished from all the swelling, but Ortho isn't taking chances!
Some more of tbe bruising. Two weeks after I broke my humerus, I'm still a bit swollen and bruised. And I'm scheduled for surgery this coming Tuesday because I've developed radial nerve palsy since I broke the arm...Ortho wants to make sure there's no permanent damage :/
