@oheroutz What people don't seem to understand is that according to Sony D2 is ended,if they succed the game will definetely close servers eventually, we need to push Sony to have no other option than making D3, that way we MAY get D3, otherwise we'd never have it.

If Destiny 3 doesn't happen, I will never support anything Sony EVER again. I've never played Marathon and I never will. I have no interest! I WANT DESTINY 3!! THE COMMUNITY WANTS DESTINY 3!! This decision will be beyond detrimental. This has left an extremely bad taste. @Sony

yeah, it really does feel like the end for Destiny

even with all the fan petitions and the player rally on MoT launch day, i just don't see Sony pouring that many resources into Bungie anymore, especially after how Marathon performed

maybe, *maybe* if Marathon somehow manages to get a steady stream of new players who stick around over the next year, things could change

but I also don't see that happening, *not* because Marathon is a bad game. it's one of the best FPS games out right now imo with an amazing world/lore

Bungie had around 1600 staff at its peak pre-first layoff in 2023. the last reported number was around 850 employees in 2024. and now, with another "significant" round of layoffs reportedly coming soonish (which sucks), and more Destiny staff moving over to Marathon, it's just hard to see Destiny getting the level of support it would need for a mainline sequel

i truly hope I'm wrong and Sony does something with the Destiny IP in the near future bc it has so, so much potential and the demand is clearly there

it's been an honor covering Destiny all these years 🫡

@UnpatchedTruths @Pirat_Nation I can tell you for sure that if we support marathon destiny will definetely dissapear, but if marathon dies there may be a chance for destiny as Sony's last resource, simple as that... we all prefer that even if D2 eventually dies, what would happen anyway no matter what...

Hay un dicho muy popular que dice: “Nunca conozcas a tus héroes.” Una frase que alerta sobre una posible decepción.

Leo, como muchos de mi generación, fue mi héroe, me hacía feliz verlo a través de una pantalla o en una barajita. Sin embargo, mi sueño no era hacerme una foto con él o un autógrafo, sino poder entrevistarlo y él como en la cancha entendió toda la jugada, inclusive dio más de lo que le pedía el contexto… Me vio entre un tumulto de gente, a pesar de estar en una silla, y escuchó cuando le dije: “Soy periodista, Leo. Una pregunta, por favor…” Aclaré mi profesión porque no me vio en la zona mixta, en la cual habló largo y tendido, pero por la altura en la que estoy no me había visto, así que me moví hacia donde estaban los fans, y no me importó ser empujado ni golpeado, por alguna razón sabía que si me veía me concedería la nota, y así ocurrió… como cuando veía a Jordi Alba galopar por la izquierda o como vio ese pase imposible a Molina en Catar, no sé como pero logró verme y apartó a todos y no me asistió solamente para un gol, sino para dos.

Leo, si lees esto… que ya sería demasiado, solo quiero darte las gracias porque no solo diste otra de tus asistencias imposibles, también me hiciste muy feliz con tu generosidad y ver la cara de mis amigos y familia después de esto no tiene precio.

Marathon me parece un gran juego, no le deseo ningún mal y ojalá funcionara genial.

Dicho esto, si me dijeran "cerrando Marathon podemos salvar Destiny", voy a cerrarlo yo con mis propias manos.

Un juego de hace 3 meses VS 12 años de recuerdos.
