That's why I think, many of my friend who don't really try to build their "ideal self on instagram", can just be true by being them self in real life. Because they have nothing to fulfil and no one to prove. They just enough of being them self.
2. They will not really care to build up the real-life self confident at all! --> because their mind is forced to believe "fuck real life interaction, people won't really see "the true me" here, what matter is what people see online"
1. Their mind start to believe that they are just like the "ideal self" in their instagram --> this will lead to their mind start feeding a "fake-confident-feeling" in real life
or...
I think it's because for many people, it's much easier to build self image by choosing a still picture from their library and put some filter on it, rather then actually work their ass to built it in real life
And I just realised something, the underlying mental model of (most) people when they post something in instagram.
"They rarely post about them self, they post to build a self image they want (people) to see"
