A trip to Norfolk last weekend to see the parents. This Lesser Whitethroat was the showiest I have ever come across. It was competing with a Sedge Warbler early morning, and gave incredible views. If only all were like this one ๐๐
A lovely weekend on Anglesey, where the sun shone ๐. Nice to catch up with Whimbrel, Gannets and the Terns at Cemlyn. Black Guillemot, Eiders and Shag at Penmon Point. All the usual Auks at South Stack ๐๐
First Swifts of the year, and on the patch too. Another male Whinchat found and a dozen Yellow Wagtails. Great local birding today and 25k steps ๐ช๐ช
A nice morning in the Goyt Valley with at least 3 pairs of Pied Flycatchers now, and also 5 Common Sandpipers around Errwood reservoir. Cuckoos calling, and a bonus bird in an Osprey that flew over me. A nice surprise ๐
