Btw, this is my opinion and nobody has to agree with it.
I do not like messages that pressure women to look a certain way inside their own homes. A woman’s body already goes through a lot. From PMS to hormonal changes and everything in between, some women barely get two good weeks in a month where they feel okay in their bodies.
Let women be. Let people wear whatever they are comfortable in at home. If a woman wants to wear a free agbada in the house, that should be fine.
I am not here for the “men are visual” talk that somehow turns into constant pressure on women to perform inside the home.
I am saying this because I have seen teachings like this online and they are frustrating. I was in a conference and this woman said her husband doesn’t touch her and the first question asked was “what do you wear at home”. That is not okay.
And yes that’s why I’ll be forever against that mummy’s preaching on women being performative even inside their homes.

I’ve always found it stupid when people say this or when they try to imply not telling your partner the truth.
The reason is because you want them to listen to this truth of yours, yet react to it in a way that suits you—both at the same time.
Telling someone a truth is giving them a choice they deserve. Now that they have all the information, let them make a decision.
If their decision is something that doesn’t benefit you, that’s not a “they don’t like the truth” moment. That’s a consequence, a price to pay. And that is on you, not them.
So saying someone doesn’t like the truth to shield you from this, is selfishness, it’s being a liar, it’s avoiding responsibility—and in fact, it’s you not liking the truth.
“What if I didn’t tell you?”
Then you’re just a liar. 🤷🏽♀️
