♻️ October is Circular Economy Month, and a second life for plastic is the first step in closing the loop.

The way we make, use, and discard things comes at a cost. The linear economy is estimated to lose about US$29 trillion in value worldwide. Plastic is a clear example: in recent years, Canada has discarded more than 5 million tonnes of it in a single year, and only 4% of flexible plastic packaging was recycled.

We're developing Hydrochemolytic™ Technology (HCT) to give end-of-life plastics a route back into the cycle. At pilot scale, HCT has reached approximately 85% condensable hydrocarbon yield.

We took part in the @HydrocarbonProc International Refining and Petrochemical Conference (IRPC) 2026 in Houston today.

Chief Revenue Officer @EricAppelm6595 presented "A New Technology to Unlocking Value from Highly Paraffinic Crude Oil," covering the chemistry behind our Hydrochemolytic™ Technology (HCT) program for these crudes and what feedstock flexibility means for refiners evaluating it as a strategic lever. He was joined in Houston by Niravbhai Suhagiya and Abhishek Singh from the Aduro R&D team, who spent time on the exhibit floor with fellow attendees.

The conference continues tomorrow at the Hyatt Regency Houston West.

We were in Geneva last week, meeting with European investors and family offices at sessions organized by Uniq Capital. @OferVicus, CEO, and @Real_MenaBeshay, CFO, shared Aduro's progress and its expanding presence in Europe.

That presence continues to grow. Early Works engineering for our First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) Hydrochemolytic™ Technology facility at @Chemelot is progressing with Saipem, and our team now works from Brightlands Chemelot Campus in the Netherlands. Recently, at the Chemical Recycling Europe Annual Conference in Brussels, @EricAppelm6595, Chief Revenue Officer, presented HCT to the European chemical recycling community.

From investor meetings in Switzerland to our FOAK project in the Netherlands and industry engagement in Belgium, Europe is an increasingly central part of Aduro's path to commercialization.

Highly paraffinic and waxy crudes are estimated to make up 20%–33% of global crude production, and refiners have long accepted trade-offs in yield, quality, and economics to process them. Our program applying Hydrochemolytic™ Technology to these crudes is advancing toward continuous-flow process development, with feedstock secured from multiple Uinta Basin sources.

October is Circular Economy Month, and we are marking it this year from Brightlands @Chemelot Campus in the Netherlands, where work on our future first-of-a-kind (FOAK) industrial plant is underway.

The team visited the Ebert HERA office, the firm we engaged to lead permitting for the FOAK facility, and spent time at the FOAK site and in our new office and facilities on campus.

Back home, Canada's Circular Economy Month is about rethinking how materials are made, used, and recovered—and that is what is driving our work on Hydrochemolytic™ Technology at Chemelot.

Chief Revenue Officer Eric Appelman took the stage in Session III – CRE Members: Progress & FIDs, presenting "Hydrochemolytic™ Technology, an attractive path to polyolefin recycling" and highlighting the advantages HCT offers for polyolefin recycling. He's joined in Brussels by @iamAbeDyck, Head of Corporate Development & Investor Relations, and Stefanie Steenhuis, Head of Brand and Marketing.

This weekend marks World Environmental Health Day (September 26) and World Rivers Day (September 27)—both centred on the same idea: the health of our waterways and the health of the people living around them are connected.

Rivers are one of the biggest pathways for plastic waste reaching the ocean: more than 1,000 rivers account for 80% of global riverine plastic emissions, estimated at 0.8 to 2.7 million metric tons a year. The latest 75-hour campaign processed approximately 758 kilograms of polymer across three controlled blends, progressing from 100% polypropylene to higher polyethylene content, with product-quality indicators consistent with prior campaigns. After changes in process conditions, the system returned to target operating conditions approximately two hours sooner than in the comparable prior run, a measurable indication of improving process control.

Saipem is already receiving NGP operating data as part of Early Works engineering for our FOAK Program at @Chemelot. We expect the next stage to include longer campaigns using waste-plastic materials from prospective FOAK feedstock partners.
