@holland_tom@dcsandbrook you'll be happy to know pedestrianism is alive and well, it just changed its name to ultrarunning. EG The Backyard Ultra: 6km loop every hour until there is just 1 person left. Or Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race around a New York block again and again
Just over two weeks until @AdventureAgnew will be launching his upcoming debut There Will Be Headwinds: Kayaking The Northwest Passage at the Owl Bookshop (@OwlBookshop) in North London. Join him for an evening of adventure on the 3rd of July.

I love to talk about myself. Now I will take that vanity to a whole new level and read out loud about myself. Join me. There is also an event on July 9th for those who cannot make it.

Scotland are DENIED a stunner ❌
Tom Jordan ALMOST gave the visitors the lead at the break, only for Blair Kinghorn to be ruled in touch during the build up...

@holland_tom@dcsandbrook@TheRestHistory@holland_tom you were kind enough to reply when we kayaked the NWPassage . My book about the adventure, with bits on the NWP history, is coming out. As a writer I respect, would you do me the honour of reading it+if you like it, providing a quote. PS I think you'll enjoy it a lot
@holland_tom and @dcsandbrook - three teammates and I just became the first people to kayak the entire Northwest Passage (no biggie). I'd love for you to do a @TheRestHistory episode on the NWP, from Frobisher onwards.
@TEnglishSport If the #2 ranked team wasnt ireland, say it was the ABs, would we call losing to them consistently a hoodoo and have an existential crisis when we lose? Surely this is expected. What is it about the Irish being amazing that we cant seem to accept? @AndyBurke_
There are multiple reasons this is a bad idea
I'll go through each one by one for anyone who can be arsed to find out
The only people who won't be arsed are people who think this only for ideological, NOT rational reasons

@nickheathsport@ScotRugbyBlog@TightFive_Rugby@TEnglishSport Fair point but the crucial thing being “when it’s quick” A) Id take more errors over more TMO B) Given the card today and the Skinner no-try v france shows the TMO is no guarantee of accuracy during big calls anyway, its hard to say ‘lets just have more TMO to sweep up mistakes”
Can someone tell me the rule on a TMO examining a try - I didnt think they could go a phase back. Aka, there had been a ruck since Jones’ knock on so they cant look at it? @TightFive_Rugby@ScotRugbyBlog@TEnglishSport any insight?
@nickheathsport@ScotRugbyBlog@TightFive_Rugby@TEnglishSport Thanks! I didn’t realise. I think it should be capped except for foul play. One, maybr two phases at most. I also think they should stop changing the rules!! Makes it hard to follow even for the avid fan.
Before I kayaked the Northwest Passage, adventure was not going so well for me. I didn't succeed by becoming more "hardcore", I succeeded by changing my idea of success, letting go of the outcome and focusing on the inherent joy of being on adventure.

I'm inside today. I'd rather be out there. Resilience can be transferred from adventures to real life and I'm forcing myself to stay at my desk, thinking "I kayaked the Northwest Passage, I can do this"
