@honeysmokeblog I cannot tell you how special it was to call my beautiful mixed 2nd grader today and read Honeysmoke with her 1:1. It was so empowering for her. I cried when I got off the phone. THANK YOU FOR THIS BOOK <3 #inclusionmatters
Decide nothing offends you is huge! It’s easy to get sucked into a Ss issue... most of them know just what to say to cause an emotional response from us, but we have to swallow our feelings, remind ourselves we are the adult, and meet children with grace #SEL#spedlife#edchat
The question is if anyone will be even half as excited to learn about Alexa in the classroom as I am to teach it tomorrow?!! #Feast2019#AskAlexa#Edtech
@dreajill1 No worries! We are all learning together! Many classrooms are teaching 21st century skills of 1) Collaboration 2) Communication 3) Critical Thinking & 4) Creativity and calling them the 4Cs!
In all of that, it really just furthered my belief that tech isn’t the root of all classroom evils- the concern lies with tech being integrated without careful planning in regards to student-centered learning, digital citizenship, and the 4C’s #EdTech#techintegration
Let’s stop focusing on how tech tools are used to simply engage... the best tech tools are used to empower all learners. Once our students feel empowered- they will naturally be engaged in your content. #edtech#techintegration#notatISTE#udl
If AI was a country, it would be the 5th largest in the world. How are we preparing our students for this? It will create more jobs than we realize. We need students today to be learning about AI in schools. #iste19#keynote

One of my favorite quotes from #Relentless is: “Student behavior is feedback on your relationships, preparation, effort, and instruction. As adults, we don’t always want to hear that feedback, but we must not ignore it.” @brewerhm your book is amazing!
