Have i misunderstood this, because that Taylor asked to see an early copy may have been BECAUSE she was already asked to consider writing for the film.
It says thank you for "imagining me for this, all those years ago" good reads as though he wanted her to do this from concept.
Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time. Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a @toystory kid from the age of 5 til nowโฆ is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond.
Thank you to the brilliant Andrew Stanton for imagining me for this, all those years ago when you wrote this newest film. Thank you to the incomparable @RandyNewman or the gorgeous sonic tapestry of songs and scores youโve meticulously woven over the years. You created the Toy Story musical world, and we are lucky to get to live in it.
By we, I mean myself and my pal @jackantonoff. We wrote this with so much adoration for these characters that made us laugh and helped us learn lessons and think outside the backyard all throughout our childhoods. โI Knew It, I Knew Youโ from Toy Story 5 is out everywhere now. ๐ค ๐ด

I love the song. It shows that talent she has of musicalising nostalgia. It's sweet and full of rediscovered joy. It's made a difficult day one I'll remember with fondness.
i remembered I LOVED YOU came back when it mattered I SAW YOU standing there in the light of the window wearing that SAME SMILE man itโs BEEN A WHILE but I knew it, I knew you
Theme songs that came to mind listening to I knew it, I knew you.

@fw_naetoblaq Tell them to think about the most emotionally draining and distressing moment of their life. Then tell them to imagine they had to exist in that moment. That the point they'd reach when their brain and body just shut down because it's too cruel and hard an ask for anyone is it.
